I am having one of my sickest Christmases. I have a very bad cold. I did not think I would ever get through Christmas day while cooking a turkey meal. My family member, Devon, was in his new house and wanted his first big meal made there. There were eight of us who were celebrating the holiday. It was, especially, important because Dev lost his former home, in Ft. McMurray,to fire during that big tragedy this summer. Anyway, we wanted to celebrate the fact that this family....three family members... managed to escape this horrible fire without any personal injury. 25 pounds of turkey, creamed potatoes and 8 different vegetable with lbs of stuffing and and liters of gravy...yum. There were two kinds of homemade pie and three different kinds of cookies and squares.
I managed to cook it all perfectly...yikes.
I had two xmas trees this year. One tree, a real Douglas fir, was for my cats in my study downstairs. Here is a pic of it...a little bit picked over when the cats got through with it....ha ha
