OK. Ep3. Barbie's a bloody idiot. No way would I risk losing Julia to side with Big Jim and the psycho school teacher.
But then, Julia's bound to run off to Mr CSI:NY. She should be running away. He's dodgy to the extreme. So that'd make her daft (and a bit needy/co-dependent) when, in S1, she was smart and strong/independent/more self-reliant. I won't be happy if she's reduced to being Penelope Pitstop, running around shrieking 'Hey-ulp! Hey-ulp!' by season's end (not that I can stop it, save by turning the TV off).
I'm not really buying that Lyle was 18-20/a kid in 1988, either. Casting seemed to be way off (and a check of IMDB tells me that this is the case...though I thought it was somewhat closer for Eddie Cahill, but no! Apparently he'd have been 10 in 1988! That's gotta burn). That part, and how he appeared in the present, kind of yanked me right out of the story.
