Weird Headline of the day #1:

This is a slightly politically charged article so I don’t know if Ms Mod will keep it up but idk it’s wacky though

Agreed but have been erring on the side of caution with even any hint of political and/or politically correct content as it could easily go down that path so removed the link.

Okay, I think political meandering over a children’s cartoon like Arthur is silly regardless of what side you come from, I remember reading the Arthur books but I don’t remember watching the tv show that often when I was younger. My grandparents always had pbs on so I only really watched Arthur when I was at their house

When we went to the zoo a few months ago and saw some anteaters my mom made it a point that Arthur doesn’t look like an actual aardvark at all since anteaters and aardvarks are the same animals practically. That is kinda true I never thought Arthur ever looked like whatever animal he was supposed to be. He looks even weirder in the original children’s picture books

I don't disagree with that but it wouldn't be the first time that a seemingly banal topic has grown into a heated discussion.

Yeah, I think the article was still generally funny purely because of how outlandish the topic was about adult men and women getting offended over the plot of an Arthur episode, the wackiness of the general idea. The article looks like it could be satirical, but then you realize it’s not from the onion and it’s The NBC and this is a real article.

To summarize the link I posted and removing all the politics

“People that live in [INSERT STATE HERE] are getting offended over an Arthur episode being about a [MILDLY CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC IN THE ABOVE STATE] that they decided to ban the entire episode from being aired in [AFOREMENTIONED STATE]”

I hope replacing the subjects with variables is okay so people can understand the outlandishness of the article without feeling personally attacked are their views being disregarded

Oh yeah, I have quite a history here about getting irritated over petty things and not being able to stop arguments before they even happen, I’ll try not to do that. Like I said, the psychiciatrist/chologist (I forget which is which) theorized that I may have bipolar disorder, which might explain my history of getting angry over petty topics

Not really. The topic itself could be enough to set some people off so let's leave it alone going forward.
