Yes, I did too. And wondering where this character is going to take us.

I loved this pilot - what a great twist plot . I was waiting for one of the robots to break programming about not hurting a fly --- didnt expect it to be her. This has all the hall marks of Blade runner I reckon. such a relief to see the finished article.

We watched it last night. Could be a good series.

I had watched the movie when it first came out....and for some reason, it's always been mixed in my head with Fantasy Island. Guess they came out around the same time? But Fantasy Island wasn't robots was it? Anyway, did rewatch the original movie recently.

Don't recall ever seeing Futureworld though.

Let us know what you and the son think!

We both liked it very much. Loved the twist with
the Gunslinger, in that he appears to be human, a long time visitor to Westworld I'm guessing? Loved the digital scalp.........Scary to think how many decommissioned cyborgs are standing around waiting to come back perhaps? Nice use of a Stones' tune as well......
.

Looking forward to the next episode and beyond.

The cattle rancher's confusion with the photograph. It was sad and beautiful. The actor did an outstanding job conveying the inner struggle -- robot? man? and the tears in his eyes as he was being warehoused--crushing.
yeh, is he the first to become self aware?? And will he stay locked away, unable to protect his daughter ??

It was OK but for a first episode you'd think they would have amped up the action a lot more.

Ed Harris was good but man the dude is a stick now.

The attitude of the humans to the robots made me feel uncomfortable. There was something disturbing with the scenes where the robots were naked and I don't mean in a prurient sense but a prejudicial one.

I'll stick around for a couple of more but for me the jury is still out.

I really liked the series premiere. I just watched this last night. I had not seen the original series. I love Anthony Hopkins.

Arista- Noooooo! you missed the whole plot twist then. half the storyline is gone for you if you ain't seen 'Westworld' the movie

I suggest you watch the movie for the eureka moment - man you missed a doozy of a curve ball . the writers got it bang on .

I thought all these disturbing scenes are for a purpose.

And Ed Harris being a stick? Obviously a visitor to the park for 30 years? Well, who's the robot and who's the man? And how close are we as a society to being robots even though we are flesh and blood?

I watched the opening again and picked up even more appreciation for it.
