Confused is my constant state. It's in my wheelhouse. Every so often I achieve clarity and I don't like it!

I have a weird accent. Grew up on the west coast of the States. Been in Ireland for 29 years, so basically American, but some Dublin on words picked up here and around the edges of just about everything.
....East Central Ohio Redneck.....but my 40 years in radio have washed out the accent unless I'm three sheets to the wind.....

So... You'uns in the mountains don't have accents... Well us people of the Piedmont have a sweet not quite Georgian drawl... But we don't know it until we are on TV after the tornado tears up a mobile home park... "I seen it coming" is a very popular response...I'm from the mountains of North Carolina. I don't have any accent
Nice there big guy... I announce basketball and baseball games over the PA at local HS (Have even done a couple of games on the streaming broadcasts of both when regular "color commentators couldn't make it)… Everyone says I don't sound like myself... Tell them it's because I enunciate when behind a mike... That and I am trying to use my deep sexy voice...
Kids in class would asked me if I'm English. I talk like I've got an English accent, slightly cockney, but was born in Australia. Where I grew up in Sydney I think they talked slightly working class type also I used to watch English television shows as a kid.
Or if you've just chased off Bigfoot with yer "git stick".......
