Change of plans :) After an hour in the library, we were notified that they're doing some testing in there today. Since parents can't be in the testing area, I'm done until my shift at the book fair. 3 hours with no plans...whatever shall I do? View attachment 15758

Those guys! Mens!
Joe's event was great. He picked a few people from the audience (including myself) to play kazoos on stage while he and the audience sang songs in which he rewrote the lyrics. He read a scene from the book and then signed whatever you brought or bought and posed for photos. He's a really entertaining and funny guy.

Here is Joe's panorama and the kazoo he gave me.

Awesome!! That is just super damn cool! I love Joe Hill.

Today, had to take the kiddo for blood work first thing. His behavior has regressed to the point where he is in a constant state of agitated anxiety, but not being able to have breakfast before leaving the house took his mood to a new low.
The phelbotomist heard him before she saw him and I could tell she was scared.
She did great though and kiddo actually held very still. Then it was right back to his usual howling, banging, stomping, yelling self, but I was just thankful we got through the blood draw with no problems.
The phelbotomist admitted that she said a prayer before she came in the room to do it. So, thanks God! :)

Spending the rest of the day doing housework.

I so hope they get your little guy some help. My husband has 2 autistic cousins. I've seen them get much better over the years. There is hope.

I'm going home to visit my dad.
I know that makes you happy! Have a great visit!

Tomorrow picnic/cookout/barbecue lunch, after lunch take the car to the garage for the second time in two days, then dispose of a murder victim. Typical stuff.

We are going to take a get-better-soon card by the rectory as poor Father has shingles!! AGH!!! We are also taking a sympathy card by our pharmacist, her 98 year old grandmother died recently. I am going to try to decide what to read until the library calls on the 30th.
Oh that's awful! Hope he's better soon. Very kind of you to take your priest and pharmacist cards. I love getting a real live card. We have a parishioner who always remembers the staff (there's 4 of us) birthdays and secretary's day and sends cards. It's so thoughtful and always makes my day to get a card from her.

I protect him from the creepy crawlies and he protects me from the dogs. But only the big dogs. He coes little bouncy yappy things....he considers them like big hairy bugs.

I just found a cricket in the bathroom. . Biggest cricket that ever crickerteretred. Glass cover and paper slide and released him outside.
I was not not happy, neither was the mutant giant cricket.

Now I wonder if I separated him from his cricket wife or something.

Poor cricket wife thinking her husband is out running around with some hussy cricket.

My husband cannot kill a bug - I'm thinking of getting him this for fun.

He will kill a brown recluse though. We have those in our house sometimes. They're terrifying. And the hunters (the boys) are not reclusive, they walk about the house looking for food to bring to the queen. She's the most poisonous.

Finished season 1 of The Pact last night, and now I want to start over again at the beginning and watch it again. Fascinating show, from a writing perspective. I'm very glad they got picked up for a second season.
