Kayaks are so much fun. People don't realize. And they have fishing kayaks all rigged up so you can float around out in the water and fish while reading a book -- whatever.

I took kayak lessons, but I could never get that roll down. I can get out if I get flipped, but I can't roll back up.

I haven't been able to kayak for 2 seasons now, my kayak is heavy and my back looks at it and says, "aw hell no. I'm be over here drinking a beer and smoking a cig." (for the record, this is my back. Not me. I don't smoke or drink. and next quetsion, what do you do? Nothing. I am one boring broad.)

The other half uses it for fishing but decided we'd make the most of the warm weather. It is a sit on kayak so I wasn't too unnerved by it. Have seen some pretty amazing looking 'yaks - some with see-through bottoms.................. All I can say is I cant wait to get back out on it :) .....

Hola!

I'm trying to get my poop in a group for the coming work week. Work clothes-check. Fill gas tank-check. Stuff for breakfast and lunch-check. Enthusiasm- :cower: not so much.

I'm also trying to catch up on all these threads and posts!

And I'm off to annoy other people on other threads. xD
So it is now Hump Day - how is it going, Siggy?
=D:cheerful:

Two more days until the weekend :m_firecrackers::m_chacha:

Kid drop off, grocery shopping, put it all away, safety patrol (last day of school, short day) and kid pick up, park time, home to make dinner, then off to see a play to review (Rock of Ages). LilMan is spending the night with a friend, #1 Son is at work, so it's just me, The Man, and the big girls tonight :)

I've missed eeer-body! Just busy. Hanging at the SKMB is my treat to myself and sometimes I'm so busy I can't get a treat. Today - I'm seeing the Ogre and all the kids off to his mom's for a visit, but I'm staying home and cleaning carpets (which will be more fun than the visit, no doubt!). But first, I have to go to work because I killed the internet at the office yesterday. I'm not sure how I did it - I was just unplugging and rebooting things and they never came back to life. So I spent all day Friday putting out little fires caused by me and got nothing done. I'm giving myself until noon to get it done and then I'm calling it and going home to do the carpets. I'm hoping to be done early and then will settle here for a nice long visit with the SKMB. Much catching up to do. Now I have to cook the dogs some breakfast. They are staring at me. Wanting their scrambled eggs and mackerel. YUM>

Once I get off this computer I am going to go pack a little bag and then head down the road to Portage la Prairie, MB

They are having an air show there today with the Snowbirds

We are bringing our swimsuits!

We will stay one night at the Canad Inns with a water slide, pool etc. and then drive back home on Sunday

So - guess who showed up unexpectedly last night? I got home from work and there was Andy's luggage but he was nowhere to be found.

He told me that he was coming back home June 24th!

I was going to cancel our trip to Portage la Prairie but he said no - go ahead.

So now it is me, Josh (my son) and his fiancee Stephanie sharing a room with two Queen beds. We had originally booked a King suite but there is a wedding going on and the reception was directly under that room.

Since we were told that the music would carry on until 1 a.m. we decided to downgrade and save 40 bucks.

Pool is open until 10 or 11 p.m. so that is nice!

Oh yeah - he had just popped out to buy a pack of 'fags' - that is what he calls smokes - he has really cut down and is down to about 8 per day. :a28::encouragement:
