I went to a Mexican Market (all fruits and veggies imported from Mexico dirt cheap) four pounds of onions for 99 cents, that kind of thing) and they have partnered with a Korean who has made half the store to serve the Asian community--most of their products are from Korea--I found some seaweed noodles!
I am very excited to try them--like five carbs in the whole serving---I hope they taste good.

EEK! NO! Do you know that there's actually a 'movement' (and oh, how I hate that word) built around saving and eating your own placenta (well, for mothers anyway--lol)? I saw some local earthy-crunchy types waxing rhapsodic about it on a local chat board *shudder* Nope. Not this mama.

Oh, barf, that is just gross. For what possible reason would you want to do that?! Ick...ack...yark...steady, steady, control that gag reflex

I can see the placenta being healthy - but I couldn't do it. I know cats eat their own - they clean the kittens out of their bubble and eat it all. It's for nourishment after birth. But I just couldn't.

I am a lazy cook tonight - I picked up some stuffed bell peppers from the Costco deli a few minutes ago. Life has been so busy and stressful the past few days. I'm not in the mood to cook.

Some earthy-crunchy mystical hoo-ha about ingesting the vitamins & minerals being good for breastfeeding and the practice being part of the circle of life, as far as I could tell. "After all, other mammals do it." *eyeroll*

So it's no cook Friday, I am picking up buffalo wings for the boy, chic fil a for the girl, and the husband will have to fend for himself. I'll have some Pinot Noir and cheese and crackers.

But I have all of these lovely bell peppers. They are from the stuffed ones I got on Tuesday (Wednesday?) one of those days. The husband and kids only eat the stuffing, they won't eat the peppers, and I can only eat so many roasted bell peppers. There must be a lovely soup or casserole or something I can do with them. Any tried and true recipes you can give me? I could google, but I want something I know will work.

I saw our German shepherd do that after she had her puppies - even she looked like she was going to barf!

I do over 50% of the cooking, but it's a tough coupla weeks. Grandma made a nice stir-fry with pork and fresh vegetables including green chiles, mixed with some spiced-up rice, and flavored with mango powder, some brown sugar, soy, and something else I can't quite remember. It was a great combo.

And now, getting back to my desk for the evening, I have some banana-blueberry bread in the oven.
