I've already read the Tao of Pooh, The Te of Piglet (both of which I loved) and Pooh and the Philosophers by John Tyerman Williams.
May I suggest two books

Read France: From Gaul to de Gaulle. It was a sweep through french history done with much love, understanding and deep knowledge. Starts with Vercingetorix (he who lead the big rebellion against Ceasar in Gaul) and ends with the end of WW2. The author comments that it feels wrong writing a history over times you remember clearly because the risk is to great that it stops being history (that always must try to be objective) and instead becomes (very subjective) memories. I liked this one very much. Wellwritten and considering that he covers 2000 years manages to keep on track going deeper when he feel context demands it. But as he says in a foreword it is an overview and if youre interested in a deeper look into a King or an event this might not be the book for you. But it enables you to get a glimpse of allof it and as a starting point it is an excellent book. After you can decide which parts you like to now more of and go there prepared. Be it, Vercingetorix, Jeanne D'arc, Francis I, Philip The Fair. The French Revolution, Napoleon or WW2. Here you get what you need to get started.

I've only read Rice's Vampire books, should I put this on my TBR pile?
It is my favorite of her books. There are 3, and I did not enjoy the sequels as much, but I am going to give them another try, see if age has changed my perspective.

I very much liked the vampire books, and her Mummy book too. I think I only read the first 4 vampire books though. And the witches and vampires meet up in later novels but I never got that far. Someday!

I think I only read the first 3 vampire books, and I'm not quite sure I finished the third one, so my comment above was misleading. I will add this Witch book to my pile!

Its a trilogy and its admittedly considered YA but i thoroughly enjoyed it. Usually YA and i dont get along but this one had something that stayed with me.
I think YA gets a bad rap. There are some terrific books in that genre. Labeling a story YA can be a death sentence for adults because reading snobs look at that as a "lesser" book, or a childish book. YA from time to time can hold its own with the big boys.

Exactly. I mean the Narnia books or some of Ursula K. Leguins stuff would be labeled YA today and then i doubt if as many would have read it.

I really liked this one. This is Koryta mixing his usual mystery with a touch of supernatural. He writes so good that you get that creepy feeling without showing too much. I understand why King liked this one.
His books are very good. He did 3 supernatural touch books. The others are mystery/ detective. Happy to hear you liked the book.
