I am about half way thru The Cuckoo's Calling by that lady who wrote those Harry Potter books (JK Rowling)and am loving it! Going slow so I can savour the writing, it's got one of the best Private Detectives ever put on the page in it! She can certainly have a nice series going with this guy, he is great!

I've been wondering about that one! I liked THE CASUAL VACANCY, and was hoping she'd keep going on non MG/YA books. She's a fine storyteller

I'm reading The Wind Through the Keyhole and loving it. I read the DT what is probably a long time ago, though it doesn't really seem it, and this book is reminding me so wonderfully of Mid-World speech, an DT aspect I always loved.

Haunted This is my favorite place

Finished Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter and the latest Alex Cross, Cross My Heart by James Patterson. CL, CL is quite good and I recommend. If you are an Alex Cross fan, be forewarned!

CONSTANCE (Patricia Clapp). I've loved this one since jr. high., and I'm feeling nostalgic today :) Good history, engaging writing. I had an entire conversation with Myles Standish at Plimouth Plantation based upon what I learned in this book! :D

Finished A Face In The Crowd, it was great. I hope someone makes a movie from it.

Struggling with a book in German now. I need to improve my German skills, so I should be motivated. But I am so stubborn, if I feel that I should do something, I am instantly demotivated. Stupid brain!

I loved both, they were my 2 latest reads, I finished Dr Sleep last night.

I am trying to decide if I should go for a smaller book like WTTKH, a medium book like Firestarter or a big one like Talisman/UTD.

I also loved Joyland, and already loving Dr Sleep... I am sure I will love this book, I have been waiting for it for a year and a half, as The Shining is my favorite book ever.

I would choose Firestarter, I like the book... I've read it only in Russian many, many years ago, and still can't find time to re-read it in the original, though I have it on my book shelf. Some day I will read it, too.

I am getting through Pet Sematary, so far it is very good. I am at the bit where,
Church has been reduced to road kill, and Jud + Louis are going to bury him.

Trying to read Jack Vance's Dying Earth. Trying not to call it quits but may have to. I just can't get into the story and Vance's dry style.

Just finished reading Going After The Rubber Chicken by Dan Simmons. It's a small chapbook with three speeches he did at various award functions. He had a couple of interesting things to say about King in one of them. He likes King.
