I just finished The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It was a book club pick. I would recommend it, and Uncle Steve liked it too. It was very long and she could have used a better editor. (wordy that you can skim) but the story grabs you in and holds you there.
I really liked it and though the main character had a lot of ups and downs my attention never wavered.

Received Dan Brown's "Inferno" from Amazon. Been reading "Everythings Eventual" to take the edge off my SK withdrawal symptons. Finished the 1st two stories the nearly nasty autopsy and the devil almost got me (summations not the story titles).
Got back from a working trip to Minnesota this week. Saw a sign that proclaimed "Lake Elmo". Looked with high expectations for the signs "Lakes Bert and Ernie" but was disappointed. Seems to me the most useless travel directions you can recieve in Minnesota is "turn left at the lake". :)

Despite having a ton of library books to finish, I picked up Dracula. I haven't read it for years, and realized that there are great swaths that I can't remember. So far, I like it more than I remember liking it when I was in H.S..
