Finished Joyland a couple of days ago, and am now a couple hundred pages into Dr. Sleep. Liked the first, and am enjoying the second.
Also, I like to read a nonfiction book on the side as I read my fiction, so have been reading A Private Disgrace about the Lizzie Borden murders.
Girl where you been?????????????

We've been out of school ALL week, so I've been patrolling around the site!
KRF, you know I don't comment on anything unless it's profound and witty!!!!
But I smiled when I saw your post.:dbl:
Just haven't seen you on here much lately. It's always good to see a friendly face here, doncha know?

I've just started The Talisman and am excited since I've heard so many CRs speak so highly of it.
I pretty much "ip dip dipped" between desperation and the talisman a few weeks ago, desperation was "it". Talisman will probably be my next big book - I tend to go big, little/normal.

My Musicophilia project crashed, so I started From a Buick 8 again, this time in the original language. I swear, the Norwegian translation is worse than I thought originally. All I remember from reading the translated version, is how horribly bad the description of
the things that came out of the car were.
The story itself, I don't even remember. So I will count this as a first read.

Lucky you being out of school all week! it's been crazy cold here but just a wisp of snow - the kids keep wearing their pajamas inside out, flushing ice cubes down the toilet and sleeping with a spoon under their pillows - and are so disappointed to wake up to school the next day. Maybe we'll get a big one Monday and be out Tuesday!

It's a nice break, but now our last day is May 29 instead of May 16!
I'd rather get everything done and have a long summer...alas.
I have never heard of any of those methods to get the snow going! I especially laughed at picturing your kids flushing the ice cubes!

The woods are lovely dark and deep
Been off reading, finished The All-Girl Filling Station Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg and Morning Glory by Sarah Jiu, both were excellent. The library is holding Dust by Patricia Cornwell and Someone Else's Love Story by Joshilyn Jackson, I will pick up today. Coming in the mail from B&N is The Line by J. D. Horn about witches in Savannah, Georgia and Only the Good Die Young about a ghost who investigates other peoples' untimely deaths by Chris Marie Green.
