Why were you surprised? Like skimom2 said, it's interesting from a historical point of view. I haven't read it but was always curious.
I Havent read it either but have read many different parts of it in different books on Hitler. I think I got the gist of it. But of course it is historically relevant even if the ideas it contains belong in the garbage dump. (From what I read it is clear H was no great writer....)

I finished Gone Girl last night. I have to agree with the rest that the last 1/4 of the book is not as good as the first 3/4. It was a great beginning and middle, but the ending felt like it wasn't even the same book. I would have gone in a totally different direction with it had I been the author......

I didn't "like" the ending, but I thought it was believable for those characters.

Last night I started Deadline by John Dunning. It's his 1st novel and the last one of his that I have left to read. :flat: I wish him good health so that he may be able to write another mystery featuring Cliff Janeway. Well, that kinda selfish so I wish him good health. Period.

Watch the movie. Seriously. The book is good, but the narrative format is a little confusing. The movie does a good job at streamlining that while not changing the story very much. My daughter said she understood some things in the book better after having seen the movie (it took me two goes to get through the book, as well.) I liked Horns quite a bit, once I got through it, but it feels experimental with the way the story is laid out and not altogether successful.
