I finished Finders Keepers yesterday also--was not disappointed! Well, I guess I am disappointed in one thing--Since I'm done, now I can't look forward to reading it! Will have to hold on until November.
Started These Is My Words recommended by skimom2 and HollyGolightly last night.
Thanks, girls; it's great so far!
So glad you're enjoying it! I really love reading about that time period.

I'm reading two right now: The Mystery of Mercy Close by Marian Keyes - I love her, she's funny, yet there's always an important issue going on with the protagonist. I'm not far enough into it to know for sure, and I won't google to see, but I suspect this Walsh sister is
depressed or maybe bi-polar.

I'm also reading The Mindful Way Through Depression. I hate self help books, but this was recommended on a blog I love, so I'm trying it. So far, so good. And sad, and true, and hopefully helpful.

I just finished Finders Keepers, it was absolutely amazing. I'm still in so much awe of greatness, I cant even compose competent sentences of praise. I failed completely at "Just one more chapter" which turned into 7 more chapters, then 9 chapters.. then 11 chapters ... 23 chapters later and I only put the book down because I had to (dang real world responsibilities)

After finishing of Finders Keepers in three sittings i am back with Swan Song. Passed the 400-page mark. So far it does not hold the same magic as Boys Life had and i don't think it will but i keep wondering whats up ahead so it keeps me reading which is good.

As always happens with King's work I slow down and savour it, rationing out tidbits. But I do find myself carrying this habit into other books as well lately. Whatever works, I guess. Though it does cause me to eye other titles on my TBR list with more longing.

Do hope that the 'hated' self help book remains 'hopefully helpful'. Prayers.

I have noticed that with a very good story I tend to slow down and savor the words too, even putting my book down and doing something else! I know too the call of my TBR and I really have to tamp down the almost frantic anticipation to get to the next title. Can I take my TBR into the clearing?

What kind of heaven would it be if we couldn't read books. Booooriiiing!! Heaven has to be stacked with a wellstacked library.
