I was stuck on hold this morning. Our bank screwed up. Something is listed as deducted 3x, but the balance is actually correct, so I do not know what is going on and want to straighten it out. But they've recently "upgraded" their telephone banking system. (Much like in Dr. Who I don't actually agree it's an "upgrade", but anyway.....)

So, I get out on hold, which usually takes 2-3 minutes. But I was stuck for 10+ minutes. Twice.

And both times this song came on....and I had to search it up as I'd never heard it before.

It is so beautiful.

When I'm on hold, all I get is elevator music. :)
Here, they played this song constantly on the radio, and my 6th-graders sang this in my classroom all the time. Very pretty song.

Little Walter - The Essential Little Walter

I was listening to some old Stones and they did a couple of Little Walter covers in their early days. So that made me get out my Little Walter cd. Little Walter was one of if not the greatest harmonica player. He got famous playing in Muddy Water's band and had this hit (Juke) and then left Muddy for a solo career. He was a heavy drinker and barroom brawler. He died when he was only 38 after a bar fight. Look at the photos in the video at the difference between his young photos and his later ones. The dude had a rough life. Some of his songs you might have heard others do are Mean Old World, Confessin The Blues, Dead Presidents, My Babe & Boom Boom Out Go The Lights.
