Man, I wish I'd been able to see Queen live....

I saw them at the Hollywood Sportatorium (close to Fort Lauderdale) in 1977. I went with a friend and his mother drove us down there. My friend's mom was a tiger mom before there was a term for it ;-D. She could speak English but she would only speak to my friend in Chinese when I was around ;-D (I guess I was a bad influence). I don't think she even spoke to me on the trip down there and back. She was mad and didn't want my friend to go. My friend really liked Queen and he really stood up to his mom to go to that concert. I was kind of amazed that he made her take us. I was so used to her being so dominate around him, it shocked me when he stood up and she backed down. We had a great time despite the very quite mother. ;-D

This was the worst venue ever. I saw many concerts there.

I want to know more about the guy. Where is he now? What's his job? What sad and lonely nursing home is mom in?

I have no idea, I haven't seen him since high school. He's probably doing very well. He was extremely intelligent. He was one of those very smart people that struggled with ordinary things like putting gas in a car. ;-D (We were in drivers ed one day and the teacher told him to fill up one of the cars and e ended up squeezing the nozzle before he put the nozzle in the car and got gas all over himself)

And Thin Lizzy was the opening act. I looked it up and it was Feb 19, 1977.
