The world is a little better now that this guy has released a new album. We missed you Steve.
Journey's Steve Perry: 'I Became a Bit of a Recluse ... It's Nice That People Remember'Has there ever been any definitive explanation as to what happened to him (why he disappeared for so long)? I guess he just didn't want to do it anymore.
I got to see him with Journey during their heyday. He was absolutely terrific. And sounds the same. Maybe a little softer edge there -- at least on this song.
I do like Randy Travis, and Deeper Than The Holler brought back some really good memories. Thank you for playing it.

Sunny, do you like Randy Travis? I like this song, plus "I Told You So" and "Diggin' Up Bones".
ahhh, those young years.I saw them shortly after Steve joined the band. They had just released Infinity. A friend of mine and I went to see them and didn''t know much about the band. I kind of knew them as a prog rock band (which is what they were before Steve joined). I was living in Denver at the time and used to go to concerts all the time. There was a concert going on somewhere in the city every night of the week and I went to a ton of shows where I had no idea who the band was (pot luck, emphasis on the pot ). I saw Journey at a place called The Rainbow Music Hall in Denver which was a great 1500 seat place. We didn't have a clue who Steve was but we were blown away by his voice.
I'm slip slidin away to see Paul Simon tonight in Orlando.
