Lived with someone back in the late 70s who loved this song.
Oh yeah babes, I've loved the Prine man for decades!..use to get hammered with one of his nephews, he could drink like his uncle can write kick azzzzz songs;-)
No song or artist, songs and artists on Music From The Hills Of Home, on WNKU radio out of Northern Ky. University, a BlueGrass program featurjng local bluegrass legend Kadie Laur...I had such a crush on her in the 70's.
If ya like bluegrass and the oldies from the hills, and just a butt kickin' fun eclectic mix check it out, pretty sure listner supported wnku is online;-)
Wasn't this awesome? He will probably get beat by LaPorsha, but I wish he'd win.
Yeah, I was blown away. I'd heard the song before but to me his version was downright gut-wrenching. Something resonated with me in the lyrics. "Tonight, I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist".Wasn't this awesome? He will probably get beat by LaPorsha, but I wish he'd win.
(I am so in the mood to hear this again, so thank you.)
Yes, I'd heard Sia sing it too, but never paid much attention to the lyrics until Trent sang it. Then it was like a new song to me. I thought iTunes might have it, but they just have his version of Sharp Dressed Man (which was so cool too).Yeah, I was blown away. LaPorsha is fantastic, too. Trent has slowly moved up in my estimation. I've been playing this off and on for 2 days. Just incredible.
Yeah, same for me. It was like hearing it for the first time...great way to say it. It's one of the rare cases where the cover is superior to the original.Yes, I'd heard Sia sing it too, but never paid much attention to the lyrics until Trent sang it. LaPorsha is wonderful as you said. I like something about all the top four.
I keep thinking,
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3, drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3, drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3, drink
Throw 'em back, till I lose count
