....why must this abomination continue to stalk the earth???.....
Actually, the original version is by the songwriter Tom Waits on his 1985 album Rain Dogs. Then Patty Smyth covered it in 1987 and Rod the Bod in 1989. The EBTG version is from 1992.My son and I are watching a "How I Met Your Mother" marathon for the ba zillionth time. I know this was originally a Rod Stewart song, but this is the version we like now.
....I did an on-air interview with EBTG, and they were wonderful folks....just wish they had more chart success.....Actually, the original version is by the songwriter Tom Waits on his 1985 album Rain Dogs. Then Patty Smyth covered it in 1987 and Rod the Bod in 1989. The EBTG version is from 1992.
That's so good to hear! I have followed them since 1982; they are one of my favorite bands. I still follow their solo careers. Ben Watt put out an album in 2016 and Tracey Thorn is currently in the studio recording. I hope one day they get back together as a group. Shouldn't be too difficult as they are married!....I did an on-air interview with EBTG, and they were wonderful folks....just wish they had more chart success.....
