Took the 0 dark thirty flight home from St. Louis today. Working for a bit then I gotta spring BrodyDog from the kennel. Then I have to try and finish my Christmas shopping for the SwiftFamily Christmas Extravaganza on Saturday.

BTW- Eddie Murphy is hosting SNL on Saturday. That should be interesting. There are Gumby rumors floating around!

Just a quick update and many thanks for the good luck from everyone! I got to the DMV at 7:33 this morning. They open at 8am. There were about 5 other cars there, but everyone was waiting in the warm cars About 7:42, a punk kid drove up and walked straight to the door, so the rest of us jumped out and fast-walked to get in line. It was 21F but at least sun was out. I ended up 5th in line. By 7:59 there were approxiamately 40 people in line.

Promptly at 8am, they unlocked the door and we ventured in. When I got to check in where you get your ticket, she checked all my documents and they were in order. I got my number and the form to fill out. I was just finishing the form when my number was called. Nice lady scanned my docs, did my vision test, took my picture and my credit card payment and I was out the door. Back in my car at 8:15!! Fastest, least painfull DMV trip in history!!!

My trip to the DMV in July was a 3+ hour fun-fest!

I was out last night putting down ice melt after buiding a lean-to over the heat pump to shelter it from water which freezes it up. I slipped on the ice and fell backwards, hitting my butt and back on the steps. Got up and thought… Everything feels fine, no pain, I must have lucked out. This morning when I woke up I wondered if anyone got the number of the freight train that hit me. And walking outside to 13 degree temps didn’t help. Getting old sucks! :(
Could have been worse - you could have hit the back of your head! :dizzy:

Hope you're all healed up by now

Had an eventful few weeks.

The Sunday before Christmas my dishwasher decided to leak all over the floor of my kitchen and cause a nice little indoor rainstorm for my downstairs neighbor. Luckily the only damage down there was to an acoustic ceiling tile. I caught the leak early enough to avoid major issues. So, I got a new dishwasher and have to pay for my neighbor's new ceiling tile and cleanup. Fun! Not!

Then on the Saturday after Christmas I was eating some jelly beans (Very Cherry Jelly Belly's to be exact) when I bit down on something hard and crunchy. Turns out hard and crunchy object was one of my crowns. Luckily, I didn't swallow it. And there was no pain. Of course my dentist was out of the office on vacation until yesterday. So when I saw him yesterday it was determined that I need a root canal and a new crown :( . BOO! They were able to use the old crown as a temporary until my root canal appointment in a couple weeks. Luckily, I have very good dental insurance so my out of pocket cost won't be too bad.
