Attended a biker run which was a new experience. My girlfriend's father is the president of the local "Loners" motorcycle club which the name of the club seems to be a bit of a misnomer, but I digress. Being the boyfriend of the president's daughter did have some perks. Free food and drinks, everyone seemed to want to be really nice to us. Felt like an episode of Sons of Anarchy....but without the killing, gun running, or Charlie Hunnam. Lots of firearm enthusiasts in the club so I hit it off with a few of them on that subject. Got an invite from the Vice President to come out to his place and bring my rifle....or...he's luring me out under orders from her dad to quietly dispose of me....I jokingly said that to him....his response was a laugh that seemed genuine....kind of....maybe time to make sure my sights are dialed in...lol

This woman I'm seeing is really nice and an incredible mother to her son. Starting to have some pretty deep feelings for her and him despite trying to keep everything going slow. She's got a smile that seems to.....I don't know, just makes things better and I don't feel so sad when she's around. Not sure what she sees in me, I wouldn't give me the time of day if I was woman, keep thinking maybe I've finally lost it and it's all just a Thorazine induced dream or something....everyone have a good weekend, stay safe.
I'm so happy for you both! (and your kids too) :cheerful:

I did! A pair of $70 shorts (tags still on) for $ 4 (who pays $70 for shorts?!), tee dress, brand new, for $2, a set of cool silver-monogrammed glasses (drinking a G&T from one right now), a depression glass juicer (used for said G&T), a serving dish made for the US quartermaster corps, perfect condition and 80 years old, and a book I needed for my school kids. :)

I love the thrifty, not gonna lie :)
Last time I was at Value Village I got two Stephen King books (one was a hard cover first edition) and the other a paperback of Night Shift from 1979, also a first edition but not in really great shape [well, hey, what did I expect from a 38 year old book :rolleyes:];

Also picked this up:

Hope that image is not too big! I have made a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches so far but I see there may be a recipe on-line where I can use this as a waffle maker, so might give that a try :chew::drool:

Lol. I'm hoping we may be headed in that direction eventually. I was listening to her and one of her girlfriends talk on the phone the other day and they were talking about rings so I heard her ring size...muhahaha. I wrote it down for possible future use...

Pear shape - simple setting. Size 7. Or 7 and a half.

Called the kidney doctor, and changed my appointment. In August now.
I had to drink that nasty medicine so I can go get that blasted blood test done tomorrow.
That stuff made me sick to my stomach, and gave me diarrhea, and I felt like I was going to pass out. Fun times.
I did find out that it was supposed to be liquid, not pills.

Sounds rough. They will figure this out and you will be well.

Hi friends! I don't even know where to start.
My boss is being re-assigned. New Bishop, many changes. The thing is - it has to happen fast, so it's all we've been doing - packing, planning, moving plus much sadness. New beginnings though! All will be well, just different. I met our new guy today - my new boss - he's a sweetheart, so I think that will go just fine, but fek - such a big change. I'll miss my boss's laugh - he's got such a great laugh. And compassion. So, there goes June.

Yesterday a fantastic storm blew most of our maple tree down. We have to have it removed - stump ground down and all. Got a good deal - but still ~gulp~ who's got time for a vacation this year anyway. I'm glad I'll be at work while there's 3 hours of chainsaw happening at my place.

And hey, since we're spending money like it's nothing, let's get a truck. So we've got a new to us truck - 2002 Dodge. Mostly for our son to drive (the one we thought would never be able to drive). We pick that up tomorrow night.

So, good things and crappy things. All in a day's work.

ghost19 Happy to see you having so much fun!
Ballerina cut please, size 7
Hey, we could play Today Throws a Wedding! Remember when they did that? Got to vote on every little detail.

pegasus216 That sounds dreadful, hope you're feeling better soon.

Um, you know, I uh... well um I have so much to say, but not enough time. Just hope y'all know how much you mean to me. I really miss my time here and my friends here and um, I'll be back soon. July SHOULD be better (I'm so afraid of jinxing it by saying that).

Neesy Waffle iron! You can do all sorts of fun things with a waffle iron. Waffles are just the beginning. Think Panini!!

Watching some of the tele-movies form the nine-disc boxed-set the 'Jesse Stone' collection. Apparently the series was filmed on Nova Scotia, which isn't far from King's neck of the woods. It looks really nice there, but it must get cold. Also going to watched one of the movies from eh 'Dirty Harry collection'. I'll watch 'Thinner' tomorrow night.

Going to go get that damned blood test done.
Then going to go to a loan place to pick up the money I asked for so I can get these bills off my back. I'll be spending about $500 less per month in bills. Yay!! (Shhhhhhhh, don't tell Larry! He knows nothing about this. These were MY bills, and I don't want him paying them.)
