I'm in hell, y'all. I've been packing, moving, unpacking, and helping my boss relocate to 3 different places from 2 different places this past month. I've hit a wall. I'm sitting here at my desk, insisting I had very important stuff to do, but really I'm eating banana bread and cherries visiting the SKMB. I doubt I'll have time to finish my whining and complaining before the board closes. Let me just say - do everyone in your life a favor and don't keep what's not necessary. Toss your junk mail every day, if you haven't opened a box in 10 years, send it to be shredded - you do not need to keep everything that holds a memory - memories live in your heart not in the material objects they are connect too. Your kids or admins will thank you And someone needs to invent a user friendly packing tape. I'd say at least 25% of my time has been spent fishing the packing tape back off the roll or bandaging my shredded knuckles from the tape gun teeth. I swear I'm dying. I'm turning off my phone and going to the lake this weekend. A little time at the water with no background noise but the birds will fix me right up. Plus, I'll have a new boss when I come back to work. Weird.
Excellent advice - I want to get a handle on the junk that we have accumulated over the past 10 years (especially in our basement!) - I feel like if I retired tomorrow it would take me six months to finally get everything ship-shape.

Thanks girls! I hope you all had a restful, peaceful time away. And Ms.Mod – I know you enjoyed your time with Ellie (did I tell you I have an Elly? Elise is her given name). The hard (physical) part of all that is over now - so the missing my old boss, getting to know the new boss has begun. My old boss came by the office last Thursday and I burst into tears. I cried so hard I snotted on his shoulder. That's not to say the new guy isn't amazing, but he really is. I had just been so task focused and trying to get my old boss moved and settled and set up in his new assignment that I forgot it would mean that he would be GONE. I've been at my job 14 years, 11 of them with one priest.

So did we all enjoy our time off, how was Canada day and the 4th of July?

I am on vacation this week so awsome
Got to work an unexpected day shift as one girl had to go to an appointment so asked if she could switch.

We really did not do anything for Canada Day since I had to work the long weekend.

Hmm, I don't know if older Epsom salts matter - they would just cake up but I'd think they would be OK to use. As GNT says, they can dry you out. I put them in my bubble bath daily, but I add some oils too. Doesn't take much though - just a small handful or two.

Oh perhaps I am using to much then. I have a tone, so I used like half a mason jar last night to use it up. And I thought why is my skin so dry. Lol. Perhaps that's the problem. Perhaps I should add bath oil also?

Captured one of two raccoon kits of three which have been terrorizing my yard. The man from the city who left the trap was going to take it, but when I tried to obtain his promise to release the other raccoon wherever he left this one as they are inseparable, he said I was being difficult and demanding so I took the trap with the coon in it back. He made me sign that I was responsible for the trap, but relented somewhat and left a second trap. The first trap was so old and stiff I literally had to close it myself after the coon was in it! Neighbors came over to consult on how we might get the other coon into the second trap, but it fled up a tree. We took the first one to release up in the hills and I made careful note of the exact spot. After returning and doing a little walking I came back, and the second coon was in the new trap! The new trap is so hair trigger my neighbor had trouble setting it. I also left the old trap set and if anything is caught in it tomorrow will release it with the coon in the same area where we left the other. I did make sure both had water while in the traps.

Can older Epsom salts make you skin dry?
I don't think there is an expiry date for Epsom salts, but I could be wrong. What makes your skin dry is using water that is too hot, I think - it removes all the natural oils that protect your skin.

If your skin is dry, maybe try this stuff:

It was originally made for women who were trying to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy, but it smells very good. Some think it smells like banana and I think it smells like cookies. Andy smelled it on my skin and thought it smelled like caramel.
