(Sorry for such a bad pun)
I just found an on-line recipe for apple butter made in a crockpot which I might try tomorrow (I have the day off!)
That is probably exactly how I make my apple butter now. Hint: cook the apples down to apple sauce on the stove top, and then transfer that to the crockpot. I have a 7 quart crock, and on Saturday I stuffed it full of chopped apples. I wound up with about a quart of apple butter. really tasty applebutter. But still, that's a lot of shrinkage. The rest of this bushel are going on the stove first.
I'm on vacation.Yay! This little guy joined me for breakfast this morning. He's cute, but I still didn't share my hot cocoa with him. Little mooch.

Lately we have had crows - I put out food for them and the red squirrels; thanks for the compliment - that was 13 years ago (how time flies when you're having fun, eh?)
Sorry, did not attend Adam West Day yesterday. Too cold and windy to be nice for an outdoor event, but luckily nothing as bad as today! We had an end of summer blowout. Torrential rain, then sun. I went out to the store. While out, a violent downpour with rain, hail, thunder, and lightning. Later more rain and sun. Guess it figured it would try a little bit of everything!
Working on my art. I got inspired to do more by a fellow Green Day fan.
I am having a day. I need lots of patience. losing my sanity. Went into my sons room. Mine biggest mess of my life. Was getting bedding to wash. My Mistake LOL. An y way all bedding off the bed. Some how he torn up my area rug beyond usable. Oh he will not be a happy camper when he gets home.
Then my sister has been living with us and finally will have her own place this weekend. She had a doctors appt. for some cancer treatment and goes out to go,comes back in she has a flat tire and I am not dressed to go out. So I had to lend her my car and very nervous as I know my insurance won"t cover her. Oh boy I need patience today or maybe something stronger. Hoping everyopne is having a good day.

Oh boy, I feel you on the kid room thing. Although my kid is 24. He can make a room look grimier than any alley in a seedy part of New York City.

One time I opened the door barely, and that was it. I lost my mind. I went in there and I cleaned that damn thing before he got home. He was so pissed but I was pisseder. (yes, not a word) . And hell hath no fury like a woman staring into the abyss!

Finished up my business trip yesterday. Crazy Uber driver hit another car at the airport. Nothing serious. He scraped another car as he was pulling into the curb.
Flight home was delayed by bad weather in Boston. Remnants of Hurricane Jose.
Got into Boston and the cab I had reserved wasn't there. Had to wait 20 minutes for him to show up.
Just made it to my musicians workshop.
Today I worked from home until noon. Now I'm sitting in the waiting area while SwiftMom is seeing two of her drs.
After that logging back in for some more work.
Brody Dog walk later. He hasn't had one while I was in DC.
Maybe watch the Sox later. They clinched a playoff spot last night!
Work from home tomorrow.

Sage and I were downstairs, I've been doing wash and dusting/vacumming. We just came up for lunch and 2 (might have been more, but 2 is what we saw) Air Force jets just flew right over my house! They were LOUD! Sage was freaking out a little from the sound, until I took her in the kitchen with me to look out the window.
The air space in Wyoming and Montana was opened up recently for pilots out of a South Dakota base for training, but this was the first time I had seen or heard them fly over.
Was kinda cool!
