3 more hours of class then I’m pointing the company ride north and putting Little Rock in my rearview mirror. Homeward bound baby, back to Fayetteville post haste to see my girl and my family. Toto IV on the .mp3 player and a strong cup of coffee.
Also managed to miss my son win the middle school spelling bee yesterday. Thought I was done with missing stuff like that dammit...

Save driving. Watch the "idiots" in the road, and have an awesome weekend.

Have a great weekend. Sorry to hear you missed your son's triumph yesterday. Congratulations to him.

Thank you sir I very much appreciate that. My fiancée works at the school so she was able to go watch him and said he did great . We’ve been going over his list of words pretty hard for the last month or so. I hope you have a good weekend Paddy.

....it's a sad fact of being a parent....small hurts like this happen continuously as the adult tries to negotiate the minefield of parenthood.....schedules can only bend so far, and you're a great Dad-he knows, or will realize that as he gets older.....

I made a MAJOR blunder yesterday. First of all, I was super excited to score tickets to Neil Patrick Harris "The Magic Misfits". I didn't do ANY research at all and just assumed that he was performing magic (because I know this to be his favorite hobby). Mr. Blue was staying home sick so I was going with a friend. As I'm sitting in traffic on the way there, I get a message from a client that they are running late to meet me for a dog sitting...a dog sitting that I had TOTALLY forgotten about because I didn't put it on my calendar (oops!). In a panic, I called Mr. Blue who agreed to leave his sick bed to meet the clients and watch the dog until after the show. At this point, my anxiety is through the roof because I don't blow off clients. I'm not that person. So, I get to the show and meet up with my friend...and it turns out to be a book reading...for a children's book. Now, I would listen to NPH read the freaking phone book and be happy ordinarily but given the situation with making Mr. Blue get up and cover for me with a client while he's sick, I just felt like the biggest freaking loser. Several lessons were learned and I'm certain that Mr. Blue will never let me live this down.

I’m definitely taking him out for a celebration dinner tonight which I’m sure will be IHOP. For some reason he’d rather eat there than any other restaurant on the planet...lol

So long as the clients were ok I'm sure there was no harm done.
Get well soon, Mr. Blue.
