Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday, which is celebrated as Read Across America Day at most elementary schools and libraries around the US. If you get a chance to read to a kid (any time, but especially today), take it! Rewards are endless!!

I'm going with several folks from my office to our adopted elementary school to read. I've got the Exceptional Ed class. Here's what I'll be reading! Can't wait!!

Mr. Brown can moo! Can you?

I threw my dumb back out while doing my morning workout (SEE! EXERCISE WILL KILL YOU! ;) ), so my daughter and I hae spent the day catching up on this season of This is Us. What a show! We got from episode 1, which we watched a couple of weeks ago, through episode 11.
Ugh! Back problems suck. I hope this isn't past the point of no return on injuries. Something that will heal up lickety split.

I'm going to see the lady doctor this morning. It's a new doctor for me and I'm hoping I'll have better luck convincing this one that I'm ready to have my lady organs removed and am serious about it. They cause me nothing but pain in a variety of ways and I've wanted them out for many decades now. I'm old (too old to safely have anymore babies according to doctors anyway), I've had all my kids, and I'm beyond ready. Wish me luck, gang!

Maybe look into something like endometrial ablation before going for the big H (hysterectomy). Also, if you do end up with a hysterectomy I would advise keeping the cervix in place, rather than taking the whole uterus. That is what I had done.

No, I need a hysterectomy to solve my particular problems. Ablation won't fix it for me. Personally, I want a complete hysterectomy but have considered keeping the cervix as I know there are valid reasons why it is best for most folk to keep it around.

I had something called adenomysosis.

Adenomyosis - Symptoms and causes - Mayo Clinic

I also used to have chronic anemia as a result, but lately I have been able to donate blood. (I go to Canadian Blood Services).

It was a long time ago that I had the surgery (2006).

Anyway - good luck! I'm sure your doctor will give you good advice and it will be a relief to get rid of it.

It has been approved but likely won;t get done until December due to scheduling issues. I need 6 weeks of recovery time and we have one person out on maternity leave now and another going out in 2 months so I'll have to wait for them to both be back so I don't leave work in a bad situation. Also, need to work around my travel schedule. The doc was hesitant about taking my ovaries since that means instant menopause and a lifetime of HRT but they are the root of some of my problems so they have to go. The ball is rolling and I'll have an ultra sound and biopsy next month.

Oh dear - no ovaries - hmmmm - I still have two but only one fallopian tube. The thing is, eventually they do stop producing hormones and eggs, etc. Good luck and I hope it makes you feel much better.

A friend of mine said 'Your'e are a LEMO', and I didn't know what he was saying(my friend at the pub) and so I'm looking it up at the context with whick they used this doesn't make sense.

I had to pay a bill, then I went to get a Chinese takeaway meal for lunch(steamed rice with prawn omelette) then I went and looked at some old videos of Bobby Fischer talking like the one on the Dick Cavett show. My father hated Fischer's guts. I do believe he was in the right to be allowed to play Spassky in the former Yugoslavia back in 1992. I don't see how you can ban someone but still have all the embassies going and still trading somewhat. I had to go also to the Chemist shop to by a Ventolin puffer. I was feeling good but now I'm feeling a bit weird.

On Sunday I went around the yard sprinkling slug bait wherever crocuses were actually in bloom. Parts of a couple of the beds are still covered with leaves which must be removed before all the crocuses are up! Depending on what procedure is performed on me and when, I'm not sure I can do this myself and may have to beg for or hire help!

On Monday I decided if it wasn't raining and the medical people did not plan to operate on me right away I would commence gardening. A friend who went into a retirement home said I could have all the snowdrops on his old place that I wanted, and told his kids so in case anyone sees me there and says anything. After debating where to put them, I constructed a temporary area at the back corner of the house and in a couple of hours managed to fill several plastic tubs, bring them back, and put them in. Will collect more tomorrow. There are many on the property and I decided to take as many as will fill this temporary space I created and can distribute at my leisure. Felt much better having done this.
