Things are ok. Waiting for my CNA to show up, so she can help with with a shower.
Got in touch with 3 of my broghters.
The one next to me is dealing with his wife in a hospital dying of cancer. I did not know about that. She was the sweetest girl.
The oxygen is helping me at night to breathe better. Taking some getting used to hearing the machine.
Thanks for asking about me.
....soon that O2 machine will be like restful white noise....I'm pleased that you are so matter of fact about this and getting what you want honey....you know that I wish things were different, but salute you for entering the clearing in your own way.....

I have been sorting through and cataloging all of my and my dad's old vinyl albums. So far, I have listed 295 and I have 3 boxes still to go! Think it's going to be close to the 400 mark. It's been a lot of fun, because I brought his turntable home as well and we've really been enjoying listening to the memories. Hope to finish them up this week. I've divided them into Keep and Sell piles, then plan to hit some local record stores to see what I can get for the Sell ones. They are all in really amazing condition.
...Dad still has some of the huge old whopper 78 RPM's at his place....nothing like scratchy old vinyl man......

Opened a checking account for my daughter. It's part of her birthday gift this year.
They don't offer any kind of consumer math courses in school any more, and I personally feel that is necessary knowledge.
I didn't add myself to her account, it's all her responsibility, but I'll be on hand to teach her how to manage her finances and balance her books.
....this is a very good move....many things can be done on-line as far as payments and such, but so far the paper check hasn't died completely and this is a valuable life lesson.....may bore the snot out of her right now, but she'll see the wisdom in a few years.....

Glad to hear the oxygen is helping - eventually that background noise from the machine might become a white noise and help you sleep? Fingers crossed

Today I go to the Doctor for pre op stuff. Hope he is in a better mood today, last visit was bad attitude. But could be because I am the patient from h*ll. :hmm:

Hope all goes well!
Surgery is on 4 July in the morning, will let you now when I can get to a computer. No laptops allowed at this hospital.

Take care and rest up - once you are feeling better maybe someone can smuggle in a tablet or iPad :encouragement:

Think you are supposed to pray to this fellow

Wow - just realized we have a St. Anthony of Padua church a couple of streets over - I never made the connection before.

Thanks guys. And Scott, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I can find humor in anything, and my death is no exception!
I helped Karen pick out an urn for my ashes, and told her to paint two brown eyes on it, so I can still keep an eye on her. She didn't think that was funny...

If she is like my young'uns probably never write a check...

They use that debit card thingy for all their purchases...

Don't even carry cash!!!

And they claim I am their father.

Spent my day (it rained all morning) hunting down a leak under kitchen sink.
Much to my chagrin water was coming from the faucet I just installed a couple of years back.

OK truth is I found receipt, had been more like 12 years. Whatever.

Anyway cut off water and started removal of old faucet. Last time I replaced faucet took like an hour total. Early 40s me apparently was more limber than current version. Laying on back with flashlight in hand I did get "leaky" out eventually.

After some rest (nobody home TV was MINE), installed new stainless fancy shmancy water dispenser in about 20 more minutes.

Total time from start of job to dish washing mode? 2 hours and 40 minutes!

Those people who told me time flies when you get older were right.
