I got married!!
I haven't shared my story here but suffice it to say, for now, that I went through this hell with doctors for ten years. Everything you mentioned and more. I took them exactly as prescribed but still was a nervous wreck because of the fear of being accused of selling them or God knows what. In fact, I was actually brought in once and accused of having morphine in my blood, which was a damned lie! I was livid. At this point, I asked to be weeded off everything. I finally went to a treatment facility and was cleaned out of all meds. I hated being at the mercy of these sanctimonious, heartless doctors and treated like a meth addict on a monthly basis. Yes, I've been there. My heart goes out to all of the sincere chronic pain sufferers. The healthcare system is getting worse, not better.
Before I had the gumption to get off my meds I asked my doctor to explain why things were so dire and regimented? He just shrugged and smugly said, "Welcome to socialism."
I got married!!
...Ricky has been around the scene forever, chances are he's just in burnout mode....On Friday, I met Ricky Scaggs following his performance at The Carolina Theatre in Greensboro. He was nice enough, but it was obvious that he really wasn't comfortable with the meet and greet portion of the evening.
On Saturday, we watched college football. Clemson beat State in OT, and the Tar Heels came out on top of Miami. I drank a bottle of Cocobon red wine to celebrate.
Sunday, I drove home, took a nap, and watched two movies.
Today I gotta get the oil changed and the car inspected......right now, I'm listening to Sixx A.M.
Thanks, Sandy. It was; but I have family members that have experienced even more indignities and inhumane treatment from doctors than I have. There is an epidemic of prescription pain pill abuse and perhaps an overabundance of prescribed opiates but I think this has unfairly persecuted legitimate chronic pain sufferers and, for example, those in situations like Muskrat was in. To me, withholding appropriate painkillers from those who desperately need them is tantamount to breaking the very oaths doctors promise to keep. This may seem harsh in light of the tight leash doctors are on but there doesn't seem to be a reasonable middle ground and has only led to further misery and hopelessness. My heart goes out to you as well. You continue to be in my prayers.Sounds like you have been to hell and back. I'm sorry to hear you had to go through that.
In B.C. the doctors give you what is called a Controlled Substance prescription. Have to go for a pee test
before you start the medication and during the time you are taking it (to make sure you are taking the prescribed
amount). Very embarrassing, at least it was for me. When they give you the C.S. prescription then they fill out
a form about it and send it on to Provincial Health Care office. The Health Care system is really cracking down
on pain killers and the doctor said they are constantly told NOT to prescribe if possible.

Took the day off yesterday to mow the lawn, close the pool, and do some maintenance work on a car and the snowblower. Had a friend while closing out the pool. There was a 6” praying mantis in the pool that I thought had drowned. When I scooped him out I noticed a glimpse of life. I set him up on the fence in the sun. Slowly but surely he came around. He stuck around the whole time I was working on the pool and whenever I went to check on him he would flap his wings at me.
I’m also being invaded by mushrooms. I counted about 5 varieties and must have mowed over hundreds of mushrooms, some of the white ones as big as 10” across. And there were these big brown roundish dried ones that when you run over them it creates a huge explosion into a dust-like cloud. I probably inhaled millions of spores.
Didn't think of it. And that mantis seemed to be quite a fun-guy.There was no praying mantis. You ate some of those mushrooms didn't you?

Many folks are going with an alternate plan and hitting themselves in the face with a hammer instead...I will be watching the Trump vs. Clinton debates this evening.
