he has done this himself. Anything new he gets and does not want or need. He has in the closet and puts them in it.It could be toys, movies clothes just what ever as long as the tags are on it. We have family and so he gets packages and instead of returning if he already has. In the box it goes. We also pick out a few things on clearance after Christmas. What a wonderful tradition!
The true meaning of the season. So many children will have a Merry Christmas because of your son.he has done this himself. Anything new he gets and does not want or need. Hey - that's pretty nice of him!Took the son up so he could donate his yearly donation to the childrens Christmas at our local Police Department. Now we must set up our Christmas trees.
I bought a new tree just this year. I had the old one 30 years so it got donated to a church for their youth center.Wow
I just realized that my post sounded a bit selfish - here is Mikey donating his unwanted toys, etc. but all I can think of is getting a new tree!
Maybe I should donate the old one to some place like Value Village (however if the new owner gets as frustrated as we do putting it up, maybe that is not such a great idea!)

I wasn't going to risk not getting the tree I really wanted. I plan on having this one till I die, so I wanted the one I wanted. But, I bought mine in October and hit a helluva sale on them, so I was really happy.I buy my new trees after Christmas . Hobby Lobby marks them down to 90% off.

It wasn't no 90% though, that would be a great deal!Awesome!
Yep. We went through quite a few years of fake trees, but went back to real trees a few years ago. It's always an adventure looking for the 'right' one. This year, trees went up $10 around here, so we got a little different kind than we usually get, and it's beautiful. The kids and I finally got it (mostly) decorated last night, but I'm still working on getting the house decorated. One present bought. No cookies/goodies made. Way behind, but whatever. We'll enjoy whatever we get doneDid you buy a live tree? I’m thinking of getting a real one this year, for a change

I guess I could ask my friend where he buys his live Christmas tree - I know the scouts are often selling them around here.Yep. Good luck with your root canal! This evening I had an appointment with my dentist for a cleaning and an appointment with my primary care for my annual physical.
It was a good news/ bad news scenario.
First the bad. I told the hygienist that I was having some issues with one of my teeth with chewing and temperature sensitivity. After she finished my cleaning they did x-rays. As you can probably guess, the x-rays show I need a root canal on the tooth that is bothering me. Me dentist looked at the x-ray and said I must have an extremely high pain tolerance as most patients he's seen with that much root pressure would not be able to function. SwiftDogs are tough dogs Anyway, he wanted me to come in next week to have the root canal done before Christmas as his office is shut down the last week of December. I'm in St. Louis all next week so I couldn't do it then. They had an opening on Thursday so now I have to have a root canal Thursday afternoon. Lucky me
My annual physical was fine. My blood work, BP, and all other SwiftDoggie vital signs were A-OK. Only issues were weight (which I already knew) and an eczema flare up. Got cream for the eczema and a lecture on the weight. At least my body weight is consistent. It's exactly the same as it was when I was there last. Will be going on a diet after the first of the year. I want to avoid the health issues that SwiftDad had.
