Freaks me out? Today's anyway.

Yeast. It's alive. Every time I see someone cook with it. It eats. It bubbles.

I like baking with yeast - it's sort of satisfying to see the dough rise and then punch it down.

Does not give me the creeps, though this does:

There's an excellent you tube channel called williamdefalco that I love. He talks about many creepy things but he has a lot of great talks on urban legends. It's not exactly "scary" or creepy, but some of the things he talks about gives me the goosebumps. Plus, he has a very kind and pleasant speaking voice, and doesn't use foul language so it's safe for work, or if kids are in the room, etc.

I'm searching a thread on here and I entered 'Gremlins' and I got 'Random thought' listing thread. Then I entered 'What are you doing right now' and I got another thing totally unrelated.

Horsemanning. A craze that went viral in the 1920's (?!!), and has reemerged over the last couple of years. Using a friend (well, it doesn't necessarily have to be a friend -- anyone somewhat matching your physical dimensions will do), you stage a mock decapitation, making it appear some ne'er do well has hacked your melon off. No matter how many times I see one, as we used to say in Tennessee, it gives me a case of the horribles.

Quick! Someone administer some first aid!
