For me, it is goulash.. not just the way it looks, but the actual name. It sounds like something an orc from Lord of the Rings would say, "Goulash lub dub krznak!"then there is the actual word goulash it starts out Goo.. ends with Ash. Or Ghoul, which translates to the the ghost genre, also not very tempting. Then, the appearance, the macaroni looks like cut up arteries and if you add stewed tomatoes, blood clots.. and yet with a couple pounds of hamburger, macaroni, tomato sauce and even the stewed tomatoes and spices, my mom could make it smell delicious, like home..
Your objectionable food can be by name, by appearance, or taste. Something that can gross out your friends, family,or coworkers, but you still love..;)

Haggis - had it when we used to go to the Robbie Burns' suppers - it is actually quite tasty and spicy - it's great with some turnip and mashed potato on the side (or "neeps and tatties")

Goulash is actually a Hungarian name for a beef stew. I do not know why people across the pond would use this name to talk about hamburger and mac.

I’ll tell ya, that goulash has my mouth watering. But another food combo my Mom used to fix during cold weather months was Campbell’s Tomato Soup with Premium Saltine Crackers crunched up and mixed in. Mmm mmm good! My former husband would tell me how disgusting that was while he crumbled his crackers into his buttermilk. Oh no!

Now, if it was food that might be tolerable if it wasn’t for the smell or the horrible, horrible spices, then I would have to say shrimp étouffée. I’ll tell ya. If I was ever granny-napped and taken to Louisiana, and forced to eat the food, I wouldn’t last two days.

Beets in any way, shape, or form. I have no idea who declared these edible. They smell and taste like vegetables grown in a certain Micmac burial ground that’s gone sour....BLECH! :barf:

Uh-oh. I love beets. Haven’t had them in a coon’s age, but I think boiled, buttered, sliced, heaven! My digestive system doesn’t handle beets very well anymore. Maybe because the soil was stonier in that Micmac burial ground they came from, but I sure love them.

Well it’s not a deal breaker or anything, you’re still pretty cool in my book. Now if you liked beets AND the North Carolina Tar Heels.....well that would be just too much....lol ;;D

I’m not even sure what North Carolina Tar Heels are, but I tell you one thing. I’ve love the New England Patriots, been loving them even when they were known as the Boston Patriots! When I was a cashier hostess at at restaurant in downtown Houston, way back in 1968, I was a smiling, 17-year-old, trying to do a good job, shrimp of a woman, when I see these gigantic men walking toward me. They looked 8 feet tall at the very least, and muscles, so many muscles. Well, the guy who seemed to be the leader picks me up and carries me to the table they wanted to sit at. Turned out they were members of the football team then known as the Boston Patriots and the guy who carried me around was the coach! I yelled at the coach repeatedly to “Put me down!” while kicking and struggling! I was so embarrassed but got over it after I told the story a few times. True story.

Why,why, why would anyone put pineapple on a pizza!! that should be against the law, pizza needs to be pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions..tho I think this one has ham.. ;)

You've never tasted pizza where I live. Take out the ham/sausage/pepperoni, throw some grilled chicken and jalapenos on that sucker, top off with pineapple. You can thank me later.
