find the thread to catch up on your latest King Kon, pictures etc?

AND THANK YOU FOR MY POSTCARD!!!!! It arrived this morning, thank you all so much for signing it and sending it to me in the UK. It's now on my fridge and will stay there for ever. I am so touched you remembered to send it to me and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Would love to see pictures, and read up on how it all went

Hey you! Posted in the where for art thou thread, long story short, working ALOT of extra hours/juggling childcare/imported another classic car from US has led to a busy time. Will catch up on that thread and check out the pics etc :)

Glad to see you back mustangclaire. What classic car did you import? My brother and sister have 5 Mustangs and T-birds among them. I'm the black sheep of the family and more of a Jeep guy. But Mrs Dio'Bolic now said after 20 years of putting up with me she wants a sports car. I've looked it up, and I can't be charged as an accessory to mayhem before the fact :). I have my eye on a '93 40th anniversary edition maroon Corvette in mint condition, but need it to come done a few thousand first. I would prefer a '60 Corvair like my first car, but I doubt the Mrs would think it's cool. :)

It's a Mk 1 Ford Capri, Cologne built v6. Spent all but 1 of it's years in California. Started it up for the first time today, ran real sweet.... Piccie is a bit of a joke 'tween me and hubs...

It's kind of going to be a his n' hers thing.... He'll drive the 'Stang to a show and I'll drive the Capri. I've told hubs, IF we get another classic, it's to be a beat up old Chevvy step-side, and that's going to be ALL MINE..... :)

....soooooo, I've been scratching my head over this one...y'all bought a European pony car, originally made in the UK-from the USA and had it shipped to the UK?.....

Pretty much. Over here they cost a fortune, and are in very bad condition (imported one from Ireland, it was pretty much filler and nowt else). Imported this one, it's in mint condition, and it runs beaut. These particular ones were made in Germany - Cologne. Rare as hens teeth. But it spent one year only in Europe before being shipped to the States. Reckon (if we wanted to, not that we're going to) we could put it on ebay here and clear £2k profit easy.

...I understand the whole concept hun, just had to rib you about it....it's a weird world we car buffs live in eh?....
