I recall leaving the theatre after watching Schindler's List. I heard a comment from a young woman:I really resent people who even consider there never was a holocaust, not to mention those who try to brainwash people about it. But perhaps I digress and should post such in a different thread.
One of the few movies that keeps you guessing till the very, very end!Great minds..., KRF!!

A Chorus of Disapproval ?Right actor, wrong flick
I think he was nominated for an Oscar for that one.Was also my first introduction to Edward Norton.
The only movie I ever saw where there was stunned silence at the end.....you could here nothing but people crying and nobody moved out of their seats for a few moments.I recall leaving the theatre after watching Schindler's List. I heard a comment from a young woman:
"So that was based on a true story?"
(Not sure if she was talking about the actual Holcaust or just the fact that Schindler actually saved some people).

Sometimes a movie based on a book makes me go buy the book, which was the case here. The book is excellent, and I must say the movie, is not only faithful to it but an excellent adaptation. The only movie I ever saw where there was stunned silence at the end.....you could here nothing but people crying and nobody moved out of their seats for a few moments.
He's my favorite living actor.Never heard of that one! I'll have to check it out-love AHop!!

The thing about the book Hannibal is that, to me, it shows us that there are worse people out there than Dr. Lecter. I am referring to the snuff film makers- they were totally disgusting and more awful than Lecter could ever be.This is exactly why I read the book "Hannibal" (plus I think it is one of SK's recommended reads at the end of On Writing). As usual...book is soooooo much better than the movie! Even though Hopkins was brilliant as usual (fault was in the screenplay adaptation).
On a similar note...
Yep! ...."Striped" Pajamas.
Has anyone solved this one yet?
