Which SK books are true horror?

Because I don't even understand what is meant by "horror."

The first two books of the Hodges Trilogy were frightening, because they were plausible. (Up until the end of Finders Keepers.) Cujo, again plausible. The "middle books" (my designation) of Dolores Claiborne, Gerald's Game, and Misery, (You may include Rose Madder in those as well other than it's bits of fantasy) were plausible as well.

I have written about something like "Why am I no longer scared?" Here on the SKMB along these lines.

I'm not really frightened by the fantastical bits in his writing any more, but the plausible ones still do it for me.

And I really hope The Outsiders has teeth as vicious as Cujo's were.

Horror is subjective,

I would consider "Pet Sematary" pure horror while other King books just have horror elements.
