Anne Rice, maybe. She's very charming and polite. I'd like to see the chemistry.

...oh I was in agreement with the pairing!!!....Harlan is a genius in his own right...But it would certainly be entertaining!!
Like shooting fish in a barrel. Maybe he could ask her if she figured out what the Bush doctrine (or whatever that thing was called that Katie Couric asked her about)?I'd love to see Uncle Stevie debate Ms. Palin. Probably way too easy for him, though

....multiple rasons I suppose, but for me-it's because I look at him as an extended member of my family since he been a part of it for so many years.....I always wonder where did the 'uncle' Stevie come from? I think he started calling himself that at a certain point, but why?

Have you met her in person? She's much smaller than I expected. And, you're right, she is very charming, polite and soft spoken.Anne Rice, maybe. She's very charming and polite. I'd like to see the chemistry.
No, I haven't, but I have seen her in many interviews on YouTube. She posted a few videos when she visited NYC to visit her son.Have you met her in person? She's much smaller than I expected. And, you're right, she is very charming, polite and soft spoken.
The last time I saw her was when she toured for her first book on the life of Jesus and there weren't that many people there to see her- I kind of felt bad for her as before, when she toured for Memnoch The Devil, there were lines of people going around the block (and she patiently stayed and signed everyone's book for them!). I waited at the end of the line this last time so that I could have a quick chat with her and not feel like I was being rushed. I got to give her a big hug and tell her that I loved her. It was great! No, I haven't, but I have seen her in many interviews on YouTube. She posted a few videos when she visited NYC to visit her son.
She seems so present and in the moment. Whether she's feeding pigeons in Central Park, listening to street musicians on Jackson Square, or answering questions at her book signings: she seems fully present and AWAKE, if that makes sense. It's quite disconcerting, somehow, but refreshing. She treats each reader as if they're the most important person on Earth. The last time I saw her was when she toured for her first book on the life of Jesus and there weren't that many people there to see her- I kind of felt bad for her as before, when she toured for Memnoch The Devil, there were lines of people going around the block (and she patiently stayed and signed everyone's book for them!).
