With the electronic age with kindle and everything, things change.
Generations there is always new things and yes, changes.
But will there ever be someone that has a style like Stephen King.
Granted I been busy getting things together and doing things to become successful in my own way and better my life, so I haven't really sat and read a book.
Today we are so busy, and it seems like the way of holding an actual "book" in your hand is dying out. More and more book stores are closing.
Yet I can understand with technology, those that don't want clutter, I get it.
I get the whole technology thing and things you should stay up to date.
i do understand about saving paper and saving trees but things can be "recycled".
I can honestly say, there is nothing better than holding a "book" in your hand.
You feel a little "piece" of warmth or a feeling an electronic device can not give to you.
Maybe I am just lame for saying this, but even though I have to use the computer for everything and yes even speaking with people, maybe sometimes it just feels nice to step away from "technology" and "decompress".
All those that are reading this right now, as I speak I got a kitten a few months kind of yelling at me, because he's hungry and that has to mean also--"Hey you get off the computer, attention now, I'm cute and hungry, meow meow".
It just seems like technology is good for alot of things, but sometimes with it I feel like we might be trading a little bit of our soul's for touch and feelings.
Look at the cell phones. Now I really understand texting is okay when your in a rush and if your in a place where you have to send a quick message and that is good.
The down side to texting: you text someone and they text you back, and then if you go to call them and they don't pick up the phone, and you know what their answer is, "I don't feel like talking". Yet they will text with you?
I know it might be a good way to get out of an argument, and that's also understandable, well maybe, but meaning where has our human connection gone, just to say "hi" and "how's your day"?
It is nicer to speak with someone instead of sitting with technology or a thing in my hand.
Ok so I don't have a car, but I got to tell you, I still tried to do a little bit of exploring in Maine, and I have been here for 4 years, but I would need a car to get to the mountains and such, but still tried to get to a few places.
I know I am getting older, but still with what I'm learning in technology and I get opportunities to get to places that I want to go, I am going to try.
I honestly don't know if a writer will ever keep a place in my heart like Stephen King has, even though I haven't read a good book lately, but I am not sure.
I think when life changes, maybe there are certain things that is part of your heart that will never change but it isn't anything bad, it is just something you enjoy, like a writer's work.
If I ever did meet Stephen King, I would give him a hug or shake his hand and say thank you for leaving an impression on me. Don't worry I won't bother him and go all Annie Wilkes on him, saying I'm his number one fan or anything, I know better from actually working a tiny bit on film sets and such and you just learn that people are people---and no I don't think I am some sort of big star or anything, it is just I am getting to do things in my life as I get older and I'm trying to cherish every moment I can.
I don't know, maybe I am just naive to think that good things should last forever and is it so wrong that I would say that about Stephen King?
I should be careful how I just wrote that last sent people might think I'm kissing butt, cause remember this is the internet and now a days people take everything the wrong way on the internet.
Anyway got to feed kitten and the older cat just came out to me so this crazy cat lady got to take care of her ninja kitty minions
The picture I posted was of the Lighthouse that is over near Fort Williams in Maine. It is one of the most photographed lighthouse's and painted lighthouse's known. I am glad I got to take pictures of it.
