I received a phone call last week from a business acquaintance. He owns a shop that does customized imprinted apparel....he is also the major competition to my ex, who owns the same type of business. He called the salon and left a message for me to call him, so I figured maybe he wanted a haircut.....
Turns out that he wanted to know if I still do art digitizing for embroidery, and if I still have my software and can work from home. He has sent me ten designs so far, and wants me to come in and meet his staff. Yesterday, he sent me a nice note to thank me for my help, and says he looks forward to working with me more in the future.
I'm thrilled to have the extra work, as I have to replace a furnace before winter. I always enjoyed the digitizing side of the imprinting business, and now I'm glad that I took my ex's offer to give me the software instead of walking away from the company with nothing.
It feels good to be appreciated, too!

What great things are happening for y'all?

Hey, this is muy bueno! Pretty dang good side money. It's quite nice to have someone look you up and ask you to do something for them because they think you're still the best. :love:
I think you might be affording that trip to Yemen after all. :p
