I got one of those a couple weeks ago or so.Found a trade paperback edition of Needful Things today! Must be a book-of-the-month edition as there's no price listed anywhere.
I want to get this but it doesn't come in stereo, let alone digital audio. Let me know how the sound quality is, alright?Silver Bullet on DVD.
My latest purchase was "Full Dark, No Stars" on my Kindle, which is supposed to be quite the dark collection of stories. I have not delved into this one yet. Before that was "Doctor Sleep," which I really enjoyed. Not a purchase, but I did get "Stuck In Love" from Netflix a few weeks ago. It's a great indie film with a lot of King references and an audio-cameo from the man himself.
That's exciting news that he will be directing Lisey's Story - seems like they got an actual fan of King's work to do the movie. I have the paperback but have yet to read it. I'll be sure to get it read before I see the movie though.I rented "Stuck In Love" when it came out on DVD. Someone on this board had posted about it. Loved all the SK aspects! I think the same director is working on the new Lisey's Story movie. There was an interesting story about the director's early SK connection-can't remember where on the board I read it though!
I just watched that recently and thought it was pretty good, especially with Donald Sutherland and James Cromwell in it. It was a little hard for me to see Rob Lowe in a serious role after binge watching "Parks and Recreation." I kept waiting for him to say, "There are LITERALLY... vampires all over this town."Salem's Lot DVD (with Rob Lowe).
Please keep in mind that the original one was a made-for-television movie. That being said, there is still alot in it that will get under your skin. The sound of the Danny Glick scraping his nails on the window will never leave you........I just watched that recently and thought it was pretty good, especially with Donald Sutherland and James Cromwell in it. I recently bought the original miniseries from 1979 from a seller on eBay (kind of a hard DVD to find) - looking forward to seeing how that one compares.
