There's definately not alot of humor in the original version.I always liked the story "Weeds" ever since I read it in Cavalier. It's much darker than the remake in Creepshow.

Welcome to the boards, you don't want to rush a masterpiece like 11/22/63 anyway, devour it slowly, it's the second best book I've ever read. It's from a Buick 8 though gotta to finish 11.22.63 first and I'm a slow reader probably about half way through .
If it wasn't for SK my reacing would be restricted to Herges Adventures of Tintin .
I will just keep plodding on through it .
Thats awesome. I wish we had a place like that. i would certainly donate some books.Welcome to the boards, you don't want to rush a masterpiece like 11/22/63 anyway, devour it slowly, it's the second best book I've ever read.
My latest (purchase is the wrong word) - a small unit has opened in my local shopping centre called the big little library, people donate their unwanted books and everything in there is free to anyone. My mum went in and mentioned that I read Stephen King and the woman working there said someone came in a few days ago and took a load of King books. There were a few left though so she got me these to replace my paperbacks.

The dark half and the tommyknockers. I'm going to give them my paperbacks so someone gets to enjoy them.
I went in a bit later and got these also.

Oh bummer! (to the vase)Bought the miniseries tie-in paperback of Bag of Bones (very good condition) today at a thrift store for a quarter!
(Made up for the mini glass vase I bought and managed to drop and shatter in the parking lot. )
I know!! I was struggling to open the car door, had my hand under the bag, and had that sudden thought that it didn't feel quite right (always trust your first instincts!!!) and then...shatter. I kicked the glass out of the way, backed up, parked in another spot and went back to pick up all the glass. Lucky I didn't cut up my hands!Oh bummer! (to the vase)
I'll say! That could have easily turned into a very expensive vase.I know!! I went to two thrift stores recently searching for King treasures and at both places, the shelves were practically empty - of all books. I asked what was going on, but of course no one knew.Found an unread hardback 1st of Blockade Billy at Goodwill for $1.99!
Maybe someone's going to be opening a new used bookstore?I went to two thrift stores recently searching for King treasures and at both places, the shelves were practically empty - of all books. I asked what was going on, but of course no one knew.
Since it's not me, I'm gonna be p*ssed off!Maybe someone's going to be opening a new used bookstore?
