Sounds like fun. Let me know if you find anything. My last SK related purchase was on vacation in July - I really need to go shopping soon (maybe I should go see what they have at Value Village today).

I am feeling especially sluggish today, but if I rouse myself enough to get there before they close, I will let you know.Sounds like fun. Let me know if you find anything.
If youre reading it for the first time i envy you. It is a masterpiece among masterpåieces!!!Just purchased a 1st edition IT. Reading it for the first time. So far is just awesome. I'm at the part where Henry bowers is chasing Ben bc he wouldn't let him cheat on the final test. I know it's still early but no slow parts at all. Book pretty good condition.
You can for about 600 bucksI am hoping to find an orginal of The Long walk
NOOOOOOO!!!!!Don't remind me - I had an original one in my hands for 4 bucks, but passed up the opportunity to buy it! (Can you believe that?)
My fave. Enjoy it!!! I agree with Kurben. I'm envious.Just purchased a 1st edition IT. Reading it for the first time. So far is just awesome. I know jealousy will get me nowhere but damn girl I am jealous.A little story:
About a year ago a friend sent me a picture of some artwork that I absolutely loved. I had it saved on my phone to glance at it's awesomeness from time to time. My problem was that I didn't know who the artist was. I looked with no luck and gave up. FINALLY a few months ago I discovered who it was. I contacted him via FB and asked if he did commissions and could he do the exact same picture.. He said he did and would and I got this beauty: Artist Credit goes to Dennis Willman

He did these as a bonus because he felt bad for taking so long which didn't bother me in the first place but hey, I'll take 'em!

Makes me want to get a phone.
Very cool!
I think that would be for a signed one - I believe (depending on the condition) the Long Walk is worth around 80 - 100 bucks or so (but I suppose it depends on who is willing to pay how much for something). You can for about 600 bucks
None of us look down upon anyone for finding King books (or any other author) at thrift stores. Alot of us on here can't afford to buy books new, so we get them where we can. We're just happy that folks are still reading.being that I just started reading king a couple of years ago any hard copy books of his I have to find used somewhere and do not have the opportunity to buy them off the shelf in mint condition. I have a copy of four past midnight. its not in bad shape but some wear on the dj and the book itself has some wear. the gold in the sk on the front cover is all gone, fading black on the boards etc etc. I was at this place nearby called menagerie. not sure on the spelling but basically people drop off items they no longer want and then whatever the store makes goes to animal welfare. so cool gig. there is a book area that I always check out and I found a copy of four past midnight yesterday. man let me tell you, this looks like its right off the shelf. as far as appearance. I mean perfect. the dj, book itself etc. now it has been read but im guessing only once. got it for 75 cents. pretty happy with that purchase.
I hear ya. I have bought off ebay before and probably 90% of the time been disappointed. Even with pics. I get it and usually not in the condition I thought I was getting. Always best to see it in person.None of us look down upon anyone for finding King books (or any other author) at thrift stores.
