Stopped at the same Goodwill after work today in hopes of finding more JDM paperbacks. Found two more- Condominium and A Purple Place For Dying.

...that is the novel many fans wished he'd made into a series......A brand new copy of Twilight Eyes for 2.50. A used book store find. I did visit the thrift store yesterday but didn't see anything I couldn't live without.

I purchased the Land Of Enchantment limited edition years ago when it was published. It's truly a gorgeous book with amazing illustrations by Phil Parks. I read it and loved the story so much. Imagine my amazement when I found out that this Land Of Enchantment edition is only half of the story- the full story was published in the UK right after the LOE edition was published and here in the US we had to wait a couple of years for the rest of the tale. It really is a wonderful story and even though Dean nicely wraps up the tale, there definitely could be more story there....that is the novel many fans wished he'd made into a series......

The Land Of Enchantment edition only contains Part I with an Epilogue, the paperback edition (Berkeley, I believe) continues on with Part II. LOE edition ends with Rya and Slim leaving Yontsdown after she stabs him once, then drops the knife. I don't have access to the paperback edition so maybe you could check yours and see if there is indeed two parts to this tale so I don't think I'm crazy? Well, crazier than normal!...rest of?...I’m confused old buddy...I only knew of the one novel...
...it IS indeed in two parts....Twilight Eyes, followed by First Epilogue-then Dark Lightning....The Land Of Enchantment edition only contains Part I with an Epilogue, the paperback edition (Berkeley, I believe) continues on with Part II. I didn't know there was more to the story, either. I read Twilight Eyes in high school and I'm beginning to wonder if I ever finished it. I started reading it again today and I remember Slim sneaking onto the carnival compound but when I flipped through the pages I could remember nothing else. It'll be like a first read, basically. I don't think I finished Night Chills, either. Back then I would check out a bunch of Koontz books at the library to tide me over until King's next book. I was fickle and I would only finish the ones that spoke to me on any given day. Anyway, I'm enjoying it.Love love Twilight Eyes. I had no idea there was more.
done!Today the mailman delivered this. Like new condition, from thriftbooks.com. It was published way back in 1995 by Ocean View Books in Colorado. It has the original publication of Dan Simmons story Looking For Kelly Dahl. Lots of good authors included in it.

Please note that if you read the paperback edition, it IS the complete story. I have no idea (that I can recall anyway) why the Land Of Enchantment edition only had the first half of the story. It's an oversized book, with tons of illustrations, one even folds out to double the size of the book! Maybe it had to do with the cost, I don't know for sure. Or maybe Dean realized that there was more to the story and continued the tale after the LOE version was published. Either way, those in the UK were lucky indeed to get the entire tale while we here in the US had to wait a couple of years to read it.I didn't know there was more to the story, either. (I have listed this book among my favorite Koontz books a few times so I guess I remembered enough of it to like it.)

Today while I was at the usual small town thrift store I bought these for paperback. 25 or 50 cents each
