Why do we do that? Always look for a way to shoulder the blame. Poor Pepperbird. But not your fault. Never.I did not know that blow dryers had non stick coatings.
Non-stick coatings in pans were the very first thing I thought of when I lost my pepperbird. Trying to blame myself. That was not what happened.
Thank you for taking care.
I've read the first one and about half of the second one (I have all three paperbacks that don't mention Anne as the author on the covers)then set them aside as they got to be abit repeatative. They are definitely way more sexual than 50 Shades is, but I've only skimmed thru the first 50 Shades book so I'll take your word for it.....I've got the trilogy from way long time ago. Once you read that, there is NO WAY you could ever think Shades of Gray even comes close to erotica. My bossy cousin was all into Grey and I'm over here in TN rolling my eyes. Have you read them before? Or is this your first time?

I still vote YES on getting another African Gray. Hey, I loved your vulture - where did I see that? Halloween thread? I want one. That is the most perfect Halloween decoration. Is it Martha Stewart?Hey Holly, there you are! I was getting concerned.
Thanks for the kind words. I know, right? She was probably older than I thought. I dunno. It still hurts, but I can look at a picture now. (I have one with her and Clancy McGhee pup on Santa's lap) I know. I know, what a sap.
Oh that is super cool! I only heard of them after I knew who the author really was. I have not read 50 Shades or the sequels. But my mother asked me some questions about things she'd never heard of (I wanted to drop dead and vomit, discussing those kinds of things with my 70 year old mother). I think Gray is some sort of vanilla erotica.I've read the first one and about half of the second one (I have all three paperbacks that don't mention Anne as the author on the covers)then set them aside as they got to be abit repeatative. ...why is the bedspread so hideous???...(us Ogres have to stick together)....I still vote YES on getting another African Gray. Hey, I loved your vulture - where did I see that? Halloween thread? I want one. That is the most perfect Halloween decoration. Is it Martha Stewart?
I'm good actually. Busier than I like to be. But I'm really, really good. Pissed off at the Ogre right now, but even that's kind of good - and well deserved! He bought a hideous bedspread and is pouting because I don't like it. So I'm pissed off because he's pouting. It's a standoff.
You know, I'm not much into romance if at all, but I absolutely loved Sydney Sheldon's The Other Side of MidnightTet - I found a new thrift store!!! Blues City Thrift. I've passed it a few times taking an "off the interstate" path to Midtown and I finally stopped by this week. It's marvelous and they have such a tidy, alphabetized, good-smelling book selection. And all of the hardcovers are $1.50. I actually went in for gypsy costume stuff for my girl - loaded up on that garb - much perfect stuff for $12. And I found Such Devoted Sisters by Eileen Gouge. I read it in the early 90s when I was in one of those book of the month clubs. Loved it and lost it somewhere along the way. It found me! It's kind of Sidney Sheldonesque. I plan on going back when I've got more time, and cash on hand - they don't have a cc machine. Also found a lovely candle snuffer and tray.
Pfft! I could live with it if he hadn't been such an Ogre with his response to my disappointment. It turned into a whole foul soliloquy on my character. This is why he's an Ogre. But the bedspread itself was totally not what we had discussed getting. He ordered it before we discussed it. For $35. You get what you pay for. He can use it in the spare bedroom where he'll be sleeping for a while....why is the bedspread so hideous???...(us Ogres have to stick together)....
Oh I loved that one! Did you know that it was movie! Susan Sarandon was in it. I also loved Rage of Angels and Master of the Game. He's one of the authors I look for at thrift store. You know, I'm not much into romance if at all, but I absolutely loved Sydney Sheldon's The Other Side of Midnight

I love Sidney Sheldon but I wouldn't consider his books romance at all. Sex? Yeah, here and there but the focus of his books is always action, action, action. The surprise plot twist is part of his calling card. Having said that, Sheldon loved writing strong heroines and exploring male and female power struggles and relationship dynamics. You know, I'm not much into romance if at all, but I absolutely loved Sydney Sheldon's The Other Side of Midnight
They always shelved them in romance when I found them. But, yes, they are so much more.I love Sidney Sheldon but I wouldn't consider his books romance at all. Sex? Huh, I've never once seen that. Interesting. Do you have a favorite, besides The Other Side of Midnight? They always shelved them in romance when I found them. But, yes, they are so much more.
This was at my local Barnes and Noble, so maybe a store choice to shelve him that way?Huh, I've never once seen that. Interesting. Do you have a favorite, besides The Other Side of Midnight?
I'd say The Stars Shine Down, Morning, Noon and Night or The Doomsday Conspiracy. Hard choice. I did enjoy Master of the Game alot. This was at my local Barnes and Noble, so maybe a store choice to shelve him that way?
I honestly can't remember if I've read anything else by him. Which is sort of interesting in itself since I loved ..Midnight so much You'd think I would have sought out more of his work. What other one would you recommend?
