Good morning, all!
I don't feel so bad, reading that I'm not the only one miserably behind this Christmas season. Our tree is up but not lights on the banister or stockings hung yet. Boxes still sitting in the living room. Cards are bought but not even started yet. All presents are bought, but not wrapped. Still need little things for stockings. And I have done zero baking. Ty and Ali's birthdays are both right after Christmas, so Ty needed cupcakes for today at school, Ali tomorrow. I bought them. And my house is a royal disaster. Kids have break fever, and no one wants to help do anything. (Even "Santa is watching!" isn't working for me. I fear we are at the end of all that magic...but we get to start over again with RJ!)
Have errands this morning, RJ all day, hopefully I can get something accomplished while he naps later.
Hope you all have a good day. Big hugs and positive vibes to all!
(((( All in need or not ))))
Definitely envying you! I miss having kitties-they find such joy in teeny things Enjoy your dear loves, SpideyWish I could send some Santa Helpers your way, Tina. A house becomes a home when it's a wreck, especially during Christmas time.
So many sales for pet items on line, I ordered many- You should see how they package the boxes- one small scratching post in a huge box with brown wrap paper. Now, over the past week,I think between food orders and goodies, there has been a dozen such boxes. So, my house is now filled with brown paper-
best watch where step as the cats have found the greatest enjoyment in life- packaging paper. They sleep on it/ under it and manage to get under and drag it from room to room. Next year- I'm just ordering a roll of that stuff!!

Have fun!I just wanted to stop in and wish you all a Merry Christmas. This is the last day of school for my girls. Then we get to sleep in, bake, watch Christmas Movies ( you know a christmas story will be in the line up for sure) and enjoy a slower pace! May you all have a wonderful holiday filled with love, laughter, fun and family.
Tonight I will celebrate my Birthday in an Irish Pub we will take part at a table quiz. That will be fun.
Saturday I have to work selling children toys to stressed parents and grandparents. Some people are
quite relieved when they can cross something out on their list. All in all I will have to work only three times this year then my contract ends. It was fun.
Next year I will have to write a project paper (relative big thing) and then my bachelor thesis. 2015 will be quite exciting.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
Who knows if I will find the time do to that next week.
And this Stocking thing. In Sweden we place the gifts under the tree. Long time since we gave up the Stocking, if we ever had it.
Well, that snow went in a hurry.... Melted away today. Just left enough for it to be really slippery in spots. Sometimes i looked like Bambi on ice when i went out today. I probably looked silly. Small cautios steps with the arms stretched out for balance. Like i was trying to walk the line like a trapezeartist or something. But it was necessary!

Sounds sensible. Sleep is a precious thing. The usual here is to open gifts either before or after, most often after the christmas dishes are eaten of, for the first time that is, Then to Watch Donald Duck open gifts and go back to eat somemore. All this is taking place on the 24,th though. On the 25,th we just take time off to recuperate from all that has to be done. Probably the laziest day in the year.At our house, stockings are not huge: a chocolate orange, candy, and a small gift (This year: gloves for #1Son, socks for DD#1, iPod earphones for DD#2, and a little LEGO set for LilMan). And somehow we've gotten in the habit of adding a toothbrush? lol Anyway, mainly something to keep the little ones busy for a little while and allow the parents a few more minutes sleep! Gifts (wrapped) do go under the tree, except the Santa gift. That is left unwrapped, with the child's stocking next to the gift to make sure it's clear what goes to whom I'd imagine every family does things differently, though.
No, i haven't. I know, i know that it is stupid of me to go around in shoues more fitting for dry weather and not even bother with things like that. Perhaps i will but i have this saying in my head that it hasn't been a winter worthy of its name if you haven't slipped and fallen at leastonce. Stupid i know.... It is sound advice Spidey. I'll see what they cost here ( i think)...Kurben, have your tried something like this? They vary in style and price. A few years ago I sent a few pairs to a dear friend. They have saved many falls.
