I'm a sucker for Christmas movies! So many I like... I'll go with top 3 in serious/funny (though there is overlap in the categories, as the best stories tend to have a little of both), and 4 for kids

Serious:
A Christmas Carol (1951 Alistair Sim version is the absolute best, IMHO)
Love Actually
The Family Man

Silly:
Christmas Vacation
Jingle All The Way (I know, I know! Stupid as all get out...but it always makes me laugh :D)
The Santa Clause

Kids:
The Toy Who Saved Christmas
Santa Claus is Comin' to Town
Muppet Family Christmas (I adore this one! My tape is almost dead, though, and DVDs are hard to find and expensive. No re-release, I suspect because Disney owns Fraggles and Muppets, but not Sesame Street characters)
Muppet Christmas Carol

I know I'm totally off thread topic(sorry arista!) here but it's fun being able to talk other horrors with someone! I haven't seen many outside the horror genre. Have you watched the Dead Snow flicks and Troll Hunter? Those are soooo much fun!
YES! If you like action and haven't seen it, watch Headhunter (it was on Netflix, and probably is still--I ended up just buying a copy because I watched it so often). Delicious movie! Set in Oslo, with a great cast. It's funny, gory, and action-packed. Seriously one of my favorite movies.

Thanks for the tip! Found it on netflix I think. there were a couple with the same title but the cast names looked decidedly Scandinavian so went with it. =D I'll let you know when I've watched it!

Again with the excellent taste madame! ;-D
That one came out of left field and totally blew me away. Seeing those HUGE horns sticking out of the block of ice, my imagination ran wild with what Santa might look like!

The one I'm referencing has Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau (from Game of Thrones) and Aksel Hennie. Oh, and I forgot the 's' at the end: HeadhunterS. :)
