Riding Mountain UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve (RMBR), one of 16 Biosphere Reserves in Canada, was designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1986. It must be hard to get the ball into the cup on the 9th green with these guys around
Ha! Well as you can see there is a fence. I guess someone "owns" them, there are houses around ... and a few farms, but, these are the only fenced "wildlife" I saw - all the others were the normal sort (squirrels, groundhogs, deer and bunnies!)

saw about thirty sandhill cranes on the road to Gay this morning...work...hour and a half later, returning, most were gone. field owner had done something to this green field...spread manure on it mayhap? clumps of brown all around...usually the field is cut for hay...maybe they'll be planting something oats or some such. we've a number of sandhills that stay in the area, saw one or two, posted earlier...looked like a flying dinosaur. the sandhills were all bent over like the one in the pic.

Thanks - I am trying to give it "the old college try" but I have to go back to work tomorrow and I don't want to be sitting there trying to type while feeling miserable.
I'll take your advice and keep my fingers crossed that it gets better.
:blush::cheerful:
LOL. Ever since seeing the song “The College Try” on YouTube by Garfunkel & Oates, I can't help but chuckle whenever I hear someone say "the old college try." (I won't post the Youtube video as I would need about 10 different warnings on it's content matter. But the images of the two singing the song, and the lyrics, are priceless. :))
