Mine is Amanda.
When my first niece was born, I suggested the name Amanda -- which I have always found beautiful -- to my brother and his wife, but Susan vetoed it because she said people would call her "Mandy" and she didn't want that.
They ended up naming her Amy, a fine name in its own right.
Lois. I never knew a lot of these names. You wouldn't believe how many people mispronounce my name I mean it's two syllables. I usually tell people it's like Supermans girlfriend. Works every time when I do that.

Thank you! I hated it growing up. Mightily. But when I worked, that is what people called me, and I decided it wasn't so bad. But, I'm still "Tina" most of the time. If my parents or grandparents called me Catina, I knew I was in trouble!That's a beautiful name, CAT!

I once dated a girl named Cathryn (I really like that spelling) who would scowl when anyone else called her "Cat."
