That's a beautiful name, CAT! :)


Mine is Amanda.

When my first niece was born, I suggested the name Amanda -- which I have always found beautiful -- to my brother and his wife, but Susan vetoed it because she said people would call her "Mandy" and she didn't want that.

They ended up naming her Amy, a fine name in its own right.

Lovely story--thank you for sharing :) (Haha, I don't go by "Mandy" myself--only my Mom gets away with calling me that ;))

Amy is indeed an exceptional name. I have cousin named Amie :)

Thank you! I hated it growing up. Mightily. But when I worked, that is what people called me, and I decided it wasn't so bad. But, I'm still "Tina" most of the time. If my parents or grandparents called me Catina, I knew I was in trouble! :p

I am quite fond of being called CAT here, though. No one ever called me that, until here. So it makes it special. :)
