We're getting drenched here, too. I came home early to work the rest of the day as there was worry about how bad it would be at the regular commute time. Felt a little like hydroplaning in a couple spots but just briefly so made it home without incident.
You be safe and keep an eye on weather stations just in case Joaquin decides to "water down" Maine.

Glad you made it home safely! I was seeing pictures taken down in Portland and cars are halfway under water in some of the pictures.Kind of scary.

I'm anxious to see where this storm goes. I live not far from the coastline in Delaware.
Today is totally different from the last 2 days! barely 60 degrees today with lots of rain.
I hated walking on my kitchen, or bathroom floor because it was so humid the last few days, that your feet stuck to the floor!

The flooding wasn't quite as bad here as it was in Portland but they did have to close one street down for a while due to flooding and a few cars were temporarily stranded. Some of the downtown areas by the Kenduskeag Stream in the Canal section were flooded although they didn't close the area down.

Has been raining here too. I really have to buy an umbrella. I say it every time it rains.
Will have to see if Joaquin makes it up the coast.

Better rain, then snow, Ms Mod? eh?
That's for sure! Depends on where you go for info but rainfall totals ranged from 5.27 to 5.45" yesterday which would have been a helluva lot of snow.

Watching Joaquin here, as well! I was happy to see it is shifting slightly to the right, supposedly. I am still worried it will go right over the Outer Banks, then right on into Richmond! Yikes! Plus we are going to have 5-7" of rain tomorrow BEFORE Joaquin is even a threat. If he comes on top of that, we may float on down to Florida.

It's been raining fairly constantly for 8 days, now. Had a small dry spell of a couple of hours yesterday and this morning. I was able to check the oil in the car....which is a good thing, because I have a leak, and needed to add about half a quart. The lawn guys were able to cut the grass this morning, even though the grass was still wet.....and I fussed at them because they have left some of the trimming undone the last few times, and it looks bad....so they had to go back and trim what they had left the last few times.
No end of the rain in sight any time soon.....possible 10 more inches over the weekend. Bridges are out in several areas. Mall parking lot is now a pond. I had water come up through the basement floor last night.....thankful that I have a basement, and the main living area is dry. Today is fourth Monday......tomorrow will be TGIF, even with the rain. I'm looking into buying a boat....and a sunlamp. I think the weather has affected my mood.
