I won't get to start in on The Bazaar of Bad Dreams until Christmas. Just like last year with Revival, my wife is giving me a copy as a gift. I've been told I'm hard to buy for, so I had to have something on my list. I don't like the waiting, but I know she enjoys giving them to me as gifts.

Mama Muskrat gets me mine. I could sneak a copy, but I don't. That would be wrong, as Tricky Dick would say.

Oh y'all lucky folks with BoBD in your hands already. I'm on the waitin' til Christmas list. I'm not hard to buy for but it's my mom's thing to get me the newest SK for Christmas.

I'm torn- chime in if you have a strong opinion. I've been waiting and waiting to read Wind Through the Key Hole. I didn't want to read it while I was crazy (I read Dr. Sleep & Revival during that time), and I didn't want to read it while it was hot outside, it feels like a cool weather read. So I might start that tonight. OR I finally got Mr. Mercedes but haven't started it yet. So, which shall it be? WTTKH or MM?

I was at the biggest independent bookseller in SLC today (Weller Books), and they hadn't received BoBD yet, either. WEIRD how many places missed the drop day!
What is going on with that? I've worked at B&N and Borders and Tuesdays (I think) were always the S.O.S (strict on sale) dates, so on Monday after closing, we had to open the boxes and load them on the shelves, unless there was actually an opening party - which they always did for Twilight -then folks came in a midnight and bought. Those were always horrid - games and costumes and just ick.

Have you read the rest of the Dark Tower series?

I did - another reason I've put it off - I don't want it to really be over. Of course, it really is over at the end of DT7, but you know...

Started Obits. Just picked one random.
I do this - I never read a short story collection in order.

WTTK. I might start that one again myself!

My favorite Twilight story: My daughter won 2 tickets for a Twilight weekend thingy--worth about $300/ea, so I took her. None of the main characters, mostly wolves and vampires, but many of them were pretty funny and interesting. Anyway, when it came time to do the photo signing thing, I couldn't have cared less about pictures of any of them (lol), but LilMan's favorite X-Man at the time was Colossus, and Dan Cudmore (Colossus) was a Twivamp. I took our copy of X-Men III for him to sign for Nick. Cudmore was thrilled that someone knew him from something else! He ended up coming to sit with us at the dinner/dance thing that night and at breakfast the next morning--LOL!

That is a great story! I bet LilMan was thrilled! As was Cudmore! Twilight must be kind of embarrassing for those manly men..
