This is how it all happened.
Larry had called a justice of the peace this past Friday, and asked if he could marry us this afternoon. The guy agreed.
I knew nothing about it until this afternoon when Larry asked me to put on my dress that I wanted to be married in. I thought it was a bit strange, but I went along with it.
Then we get in his vehicle, and he wouldn't tell me where we were going.
When we pulled in front of this house, I still had no idea what was going on!
I thought it was a friend of his that I had never met.
When we got inside, Larry sprang it on me that it was our wedding day!
Of course, I started to cry, and I think I hugged the breath out of him!
So, a little after 3 this afternoon, we were married.
No frills, just got married.
My husband is an endless romantic to plan this out to surprise me!

Mary, I haven't gotten to know you that well but I'm certainly happy for the two of you. I'm a little late in the well wishing, and my pockets are full of birdseed, but here goes...congratulations!

Thanks everyone!
Doc Creed, I'm around a lot, and I read your posts.
Thanks for the birdseed!!

So, when we told Karen last night, she basically squealed in my ear!!
She then asked Larry why he never said anything to her! She gave her a look that I will remember always, and told her that after she blabbed about the engagement ring, there was no way he was ever going to tell her any secrets that involved me! It was just to funny! (You had to be there)

On Friday, I met Ricky Scaggs following his performance at The Carolina Theatre in Greensboro. He was nice enough, but it was obvious that he really wasn't comfortable with the meet and greet portion of the evening.

On Saturday, we watched college football. Clemson beat State in OT, and the Tar Heels came out on top of Miami. I drank a bottle of Cocobon red wine to celebrate.

Sunday, I drove home, took a nap, and watched two movies.

Today I gotta get the oil changed and the car inspected......right now, I'm listening to Sixx A.M.

Under your bed
Today? Ain't did nothing, ain't gonna do nothing. Nail-punctured ankle still healing, and, Lordy, ain't it sore in the morning. Doc told me 'nothing but sit down work for two weeks' anyway...well, dunno if it's that bad, but I figure an extra day off the foot couldn't hurt. Boss say he don't want me pushing it, so by God I won't.

Probably just pop some more pain meds, fire up the DVR, get cozified and dig some Frankenstein. Sounds like a plan to me.
