So - I've made a Spotify playlist with nothing but rain songs - the Ogre and I had great fun trying to remember them all last night. Well, he was googling and giving me hints, or he'd play a bit and I had to guess like Name that Tune. It was fun. Maybe you can guess them? Maybe you can do a little rain dance and ask the sky to please, please rain down on me.

Did you know - you can't get Purple Rain by Prince on Spotify? I was on a mission, so I didn't try other Prince songs, but I bet you can't get any Prince on Spotify.

Catholic Prayer: Prayer for Rain

Description:

Farmers and gardeners alike all have to pray for rain periodically.
This prayer can be said in conjunction with the novena to St. Isidore the Farmer, feast day May 15 in the USA.
This prayer is also included in the 1956 Rural Life Prayerbook, published by National Catholic Rural Life Conference, recently reprinted by TAN Books).

Prayer:

O God, in Whom we live and move and have our being, grant us rain, in due abundance, that, being sufficiently helped with temporal gifts, we may seek with more confidence those that are eternal. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
