Beautiful work and indeed they are AZ colors. It will take a place of honor in your home.I've been working on this quilt off/on for 3(?) years now but decided this would be the year I'll finish it as it's for my AZ house and I want to have it when I go there in May. These pictures were taken before I did the binding but I finished that yesterday. This is a king size quilt that I did with free--motion quilting on my regular sewing machine, not a long-arm quilter so lines are not perfectly straight or evenly spaced. The excuse for that I hear most often is that it isn't a mistake, it's done "organically" as a design choice. I didn't realize that when I'd started the quilting a couple years ago I had added an extra line on each of the dresden blades in a couple of the blocks. I'm debating whether I'll go back and add them in to all the rest or just remove the stitching on those I'd done. I'm leaning toward the latter at this point as I've spent the last three weekends on this and am over it. The colors and style aren't anything I would have usually done but thought they would fit in with a Southwestern style of decorating.
